Zen Sushi Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in Ship Bottom

Will never eat there again. I ordered a sushi roll that was suppose to have spicy tuna and avocado on the inside and on top was the black pepper tuna with fish eggs. They only sprinkled fish eggs on top of one piece and not across all the pieces. When I asked she said it's only suppose to be on one piece which is a lie then she went and was talking to another employee in her language and came back and said, some people don't like the fish egg so they only put it on one piece. I explained to her that if a customer don't like it they will tell you dont put it on top of the sushi. I don't like being lied to and I don't like paying for something that I was suppose to get and I didn't. I won't be returning back to this...

I wasn't really impressed with this place. The waitress had trouble understanding our orders and brought out the wrong item on top of it, even though she repeated my order. And it's ok it can happen. We ordered fried rice with veggies which tasted less than average and was oily. The soba noodle soup with veggies was on the money though! When it was time to pay and take the left overs with us we were given boxes to put it in ourselves. Which is fine if the prices of the food weren't in the upper category. The staff itself didn't seem to care to make you feel special or be personable. Overall it seems like they presented themselves as more than they actually are and monetized on the wealthy people that frequent...

Sushi ingredients are of fantastic quality, fresh, delicious. Make sure to call as early as possible if you are ordering pickup they often receive big orders.

Restaurant has nice interior.

Service is quite mediocre at the level of just bringing out the food. Servers are relatives or friend’s children so not professional but they are nice. You will have to get their attention as they don’t really do much more than the check back after first few bites and table is not organized to fit plates and not cleared in a timely way for the next “course”. Charged us for a dish they forgot to prepare or serve. Only caught it after we paid and we’re on the way out and my grandmother grumbled was sure she order more...
