Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Shorewood

I don't usually leave reviews or rant about a place until what happened last night. I can not stress to you people how unprofessional this place really is, there management of this place really needs some work. I placed an order around 10pm and was told it would be about an hour and a half, so I waited patiently. Time goes by it is now 12:50am I go to call them before they close to see what's happened with my order. They proceeded to tell me that the order was delivered? Even though it clearly was not, they then put me on hold just to tell me they had not placed the order from the start? Even though the money was taken from my card when I checked? Regardless they then proceeded to tell me they would reimburse the money along with a free pizza on my account, I asked them "is there anyway I could get the food tonight since I called at 10pm?" They proceeded to say "no we are closed now but we can give it to you tomorrow when we open again." Now I ordered food at 10pm it was near there closing time when I called just to see what was happening with my order just for them to tell me I'm out of luck? And pretty much go find food elsewhere for the night because we are closed even though we messed up your order? Thanks a lot! Really means a lot, because I'm sure making an extra pizza for a person who ordered almost 3 hours in advance before you guys closed would be too much of a hassle and you would rather not waste your time other than telling the customer just to come back in the morning to get a pizza which is not when I wanted a pizza. I don't eat that for breakfast sorry. Just seems really un professional of this place to make a mistake and not figure out a situation for someone who was waiting 3 hours for food instead telling them to just go find something else. I cannot understand how this place ALWAYS has issues. I understand bad days. Or being short staffed. But I literally have an issue every time I order here... today was my last straw. I order a pizza and a cookie around 8:30. An hour later, no food. I check the pizza tracker it says order complete. Check the front door, nothing there...Call the store to get a status update and the guy says "yeah I was the one who actually delivered your pizza. Knocked on your door and rang the bell. No one answered." I said you must have went to the wrong house because I dont have the food. He apologized and said they would make a new order and get it delivered. Said they are having issues with their GPS and it was real bad tonight. Almost another hour passes by and still no food!! I go check by my door and there's the food just sitting there. Who knows for how long but I've been downstairs the whole time waiting. He did not knock, ring the bell or call my phone, which he even verified was the right number for. You'd think if you messed up the first time, you'd want to make sure you don't mess up again. Now I have cold pizza bc it's COLD OUTSIDE and I'm eating after 10pm. This is literally their story. They will constantly forget food/items like a 2-liter (can't tell you how many times.) Deliver to the wrong address, make you wait over 1.5 hours for delivery or they leave your food outside without you knowing and getting cold. Sorry but I'm not telepathic. Get your sh*t together already. I've heard from countless others having numerous issues with this location specifically. It's to a point that I expect something wrong will happen or get messed up and many times it's steered me away from ordering here. My fiancé is a teacher at a local school. She called ahead a couple of days early to place an order for a pizza party she was throwing for her students. She asked for the pizzas to be ready for a 10:45am pick up as her students have lunch starting at 11 AM and the school is only a few minutes from the store. When I arrived at 10:26 to pick up the pizzas the order was not even started yet. The order was not completed until 11:05, that’s 39 minutes after I arrived and 20 minutes after they were supposed to be ready for pick up. I’m glad I got there early or else the kids may have missed out on the pizza party entirely. As it was, they had about 15 minutes less to eat their lunch of their 40 minute class period.

Mind you, this was on a Friday morning and there were no other pizzas in the oven or orders ready to pick up when I got there. You can clearly see into the oven and see the area where they put orders ready for pick up.

On top of this, there was no sense of urgency or apology for the order running behind. They had three staff members there that I could see.

I wish we read reviews first, but who would have thought ordering 9 pizzas on a Friday morning 2 DAYS AHEAD OF TIME would have been such a challenge for a pizza place.
