My 3rd time going there to get my son's hair cut. First time was no problem at all. Great cut, even got my beard lined up. Second time, we sat around for about 20 minutes then I just walked up to the female barber that was there and she cut my son's hair at that moment. Wondered what took so long in the first place. Third (and last time) going, I talked to the guy the guy that cut my son's hair the first time on a Saturday. He told me that he had some people ahead of my son and it would be a minute. No problem. I got his card and set up an appointment for Monday when I was there. The barber told me "Monday is pretty wide open so that's fine". We agreed on Monday at 4pm. I called him twice throughout the day to confirm the appointment, even calling the shop to see if he was there when he didn't answer the first time. I was told he wasn't in the shop but should be there later. I called (2nd time) at 3:45pm to confirm the appointment and he didn't answer. I took my son to the shop and was told the barber wasn't going to come in today and that it was going to be an hour wait. Not going back to this shop again. Why have a card and set an appointment if the barber isn't going to be able to be reached. Very unprofessional.
(KIND OF UNRELATED) About 3 weeks ago, I had an appointment with the female barber that cut my son's hair. The day of the appointment (9:00am), she texted me and said she needed to change the appointment to 11:30 am. No problem. It was later than expected, however it was still cool. I get to the shop and her station is empty. She texted me at 11:35 and says "Oh, I think I forgot to tell you that I don't cut there anymore". Come to find out she is at another shop in Joliet (15 minutes away). How do you forget to tell your appointments you don't work at the same shop. That's not this shop's issue, however there is just a lot of poor service associated...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAmazing event to do for kids, free haircut before school, shoutout Abel for that. BUT terrible barber experience with Jay the ābarberā. Heās the first barber on the left side as soon as you walk in. Dude was mad for NO reason. I took my little bros just before 10am, the time the event started. One of my lil bros was the second kid he had cut. He was mad that my little brother asked for a crop top and taper the sides?? Shook his head, and even took the initiative to ask Abel āwhat kind of haircuts we doing for free?ā Abel goes āwhatever is in style right nowā Jay goes ālike whatā Abel goes ātrending haircuts like fades, tapers, crops.ā Jay is mad that my little brother requested literally what Abel said is okay with?? He proceeds to give him a so called taper thatās just laughable and embarrassing for him to do honestly (first picture). He calls my second brother next and asks him what heās getting and my brother says ātaper with a trimā and yet again Jay shaking his head mad for no reason. Again, another terrible taper if you want to even call it a taper (second picture). I get its free haircuts, but no way this is what a 12 year experienced barber should be giving outš. I didnāt know Tapers were a huge issue when they are easier than fades⦠Every other barber was giving kids actual tapers and fades, in a good mood, talking to the kids and Jay tripping over a taper? Why work free haircut day if youāre going to get mad within the first HOUR of the event over a little KID asking for a taper. Shoutout Abel and everyone doing great for the kids, Jay doesnāt belong next future events. Donāt...
