Acapulco Bakery Inc — Restaurant in Shorewood

The bakery has very fresh and good bread. However, the employees should be more considerate on certain situations with their customers. My mom called me to vent about her experience today. She went in today with my sister that has autism. My sister does not comprehend the situation going on with COVID-19. She becomes very violent due to her disability and she follows my mom everywhere. The employees were denying her service because they only allow one person in the bakery. I understand these times are hard but they should have been more considerate about the situation and my sisters disability. My mom had never felt discrimination due to my sister’s health condition until today. I just ask for the owner and employees to reflect upon the situation. Absolutely lovely bakery! Everything is always great and fresh. Masks are still required, and it is stated on the door. I think it's great, as to protect the employees and other customers, especially with new variants. Yes, it's likely that being vaccinated will protect you, but why take the risk? I also do not understand the comments about the employees being rude. I come for bread and sweets, not a conversation. As long as I am not spoken to in a rude manner, which has never happened to me or anyone else while I've been there, then I don't understand the complaints. Wow! I feel like we found a hidded gem!! We went to another bakery to get some goodies to add to our sweets table for a birthday party this weekend, finding literally nothing at that bakery, we did a quick "bakeries near me" search and ended up here.
