Apollo's Wings and Rice — Restaurant in Shreveport

The first thing I have to say about Apollo wings and rice on Kings highway is that the young man there renews my faith in the people of SBC. He is a customer service superstar.

My friend, who was there to get a lunch snack, always has LOTS of questions, especially if it is our first time visiting a restaurant. The young man handled her like they were cousins and best friends. It didn't matter there was 30 years between their ages! He was very patient, and so - just sweet. Professional and helpful and every single thing you would want from a human being when you are going to try a food place for the first time.

To be honest it was my first time too. And I'm glad that she shared with me one of her lemon pepper wings. Because it was outstanding! It only takes 10 minutes if you walk in and order them. But I imagine you could call in your order and get it even quicker.

Even if the wings had not been off the chain, I would go back just to spend time having this wonderful person wait on me :-) I wish I had...

To start, the food is 5 stars, hands down! I ordered a #1 5-piece wing with spicy ranch sauce, a side of chicken fried rice and a Dr. Pepper (which all their drinks are canned). It was REALLY good. The people were nice and cordial, as well. It was $15.87 and $20 after a tip. I give it a 3-star, because the cooks were eating/drinking while making food, no gloves, and the dining area is too small to comfortably enjoy the meal. It looks like the building was converted from an oil change place to this, hence, the smaller interior. I saw they were planning to expand, so I will have to update this review...

I decided one evening that I wanted wings but I want also to try somewhere new. I found this business and wasn't disappointed at all. Very Clean and the staff, Brandon and Sean having such a Warm and Welcoming personality. I ordered the 10 PC. Bone-In Wings Combo with fried rice with shrimp and those I love Lemon Pepper, but as another choice flavor, Brandon had a sauce he had created was absolutely great as one of their flavors. Just ask and he will patiently explain the menu. I will be returning because the food was Fresh and Delicious. Customer Service a Breath of Fresh Air. See...
