I went here with high hopes but left with dashed hopes and a hole in my wallet. This place has been on my list of places to try for a couple of years. I always get street tacos at these places but decided to try a burrito 🌯 that my daughter had tried at a similar place. I mean...how could I go wrong with an Al Pastor Burrito right? And of course I had to have chips & salsa. When the cashier gave me my total, I almost choked. OVER TWENTY DOLLARS??? Are you kidding me? I don't mind paying for good food but sheesh! The chips & 2 salsas were delivered to me quickly and I have to say, "They were the best I've had in this area!" The green Verde and the red were both excellent. The red was very different from what typical Mexican joints serve. Kudos on those but...then the burrito came. I took a bite and all I tasted was refried beans. I figured I would hit the meat spot at some point but that never came. Bite after begrudging bite of bland refried beans filling my taste buds. If there were two scraps of meat in this thing I'd be surprised. I mean Taco Bell can do better than this! It was a giant squishy bean burrito. No flavor. No Al Pastor. It was disappointing to say the least. So maybe you don't order burritos at a place that claims to have the best tacos in town. Go figure. I would definitely go back for the chips & salsa and I might just have to try a taco because the burrito was terrible. 😝

TL;DR They have the best Barbacoa and Lengua Taco!! Only try these two if you are getting Tacos. Entering the store, you will see a grocery store on your left. Don't worry; you are in the right spot. I have never check out the store before. Hoping someone will leave a review on what to get in the grocery store. The menu has a wild variety of items. My first time there, I got a burrito and tacos. Got some soup another time. However, ever since then, I have always gotten tacos. Especially the Barbacoa and Lengua. The tortillas are always fresh and hot. Be careful handling them when you get your tacos. 😆 Service is always decent—nothing special to mention. Also, have to try the sodas in the glass bottle! It always brings me some nostalgic feeling from childhood. The reason I give it four stars is that, over the five years, the price of Tacos went from $2 to $3.75. Also, I wouldn't say I like any other items on the menu.

The restaurant was clean, tables, floor, atmosphere. I was not happy with my meal. I ordered grilled chicken quesadila. It came with meat and cheese only (which was seasoned well). No garnish, no sour cream, nothing. All of that was an extra price. The sour cream had a liquid texture. The guacamole was good. I didnt try to queso because it was a liquid texture also. Chips and salsa were also priced separately. They were busy, lots of people eating in and picking up orders so I'm assuming that some of their other dishes are good. This was my 2nd time visiting, dont think I will be back because they are not my kind of restaurant but I would tell someone to try it after telling them of my 2 experiences.

Uhhh I don't know how this place came up as one of the best places to eat in Shreveport. It could have been a bad day, buuuuut...

My boyfriend and I ordered chips and queso, grilled steak tacos, one beef empanada, one bean and cheese burrito, one chicken torta, a tres leches (strawberry flavored cake with whip cream and pecans) Chips was old and stale. Queso was decent good Tacos was also decent if you like ok meat with cilantro and corned tortilla The beef empanada tasted like a really bad cornbread with tasteless meat Omg this was the worst burrito I had in my life. (The tortilla was nice and crispy though) but I would rather walmart's frozen burritos over this. My boyfriend had the torta, and he was super sad. Torta was disappointing with no flavor except the only flavor was from a really spicy green/red salsa burning your tongue off. This was probably the best thing we had. The flavor was great but the cake's texture was so old and crumbly.

Their service was decent and were nice... but the food needs work. I would rather go to seafood restaurants (and I don't like seafood) many times before going back to this place. Super...

This is the go to place for tacos in the SBC area. I've never had a problem until this visit. This review is primarily on the terrible customer service I received. Ordered 8 tacos without grilled onion (the grilled onion adds a flavor that I dont particularly like). We receive 7 tacos all with grilled onion. I return to the restaurant (20 min drive from my house). I returned with my order of 3 tacos that was short one. I explained to the man working the register that I was shorted one taco and it came with grilled onion. I assumed theyd make me three fresh tacos the right way. 2 mins later food is brought to me and it's one fresh taco the right way and the 2 original tacos that still have grilled onion on them (at this point it's been an hour since they were made and they were cold.) I go in one more time and tell him the grilled onion is still on there. They return the same container with a few of the grilled onion still in there. I could have picked them out. Long story short they should have made 3 fresh tacos the correct way. Instead I got 2 cold tacos made incorrectly and one fresh one correctly. Hopefully this is just a one...
