The brisket tastes bad. The ribs also. They use an electric smoker. The hardest thing I did was throw the food away. The sides were also good. The only thing saved the day was friendly staff, susage, and military discount. Atmosphere nice. Does have that down south feel to the joint. The first tell sign of a good BBQ restaurant is the smell of smoking meat once you hit the door. Unfortunately, this ain't it, but with everyone working and at school, it is hard to cook after 5 pm. I definitely want be buying meat from here, but I will buy sides if too lazy to cook. The staff is super friendly and will make sure you are taking care of. That is a plus. No matter whether you want to go inside, go down the buffet and leisurely serve up your plate or go through their convenient Drive Thru, Podnuh's helpful & friendly staff will more than get you fixed up with great smoked meats, Bar-B-Q and all the fixins'! Honestly enjoy eating here, though everything is very middle of the road. Not amazing, not bad, just... good. You get a fair bit of food for the price, but it's not a terribly large amount. They have a handful of sides to pick from, but be careful because most stuff is a la carte, so you can rack up a bill quick. Not all the meats are equal, some are far better than others. I certainly recommend above all else the ribs, sausage, and brisket. The rest is tasty, but tends to be very dry. Their barbeque sauce is good, sweet and tangy.
