Completely disgusted. The Owner Gerardo is actually very arrogant and obviously does not care for his customers. I called month ago for an order. I spoke with Jolene. She was very helpful and courteous. A week or two later I received a call from Gerardo. At that time a truck was waiting outside for me and I apologized and asked if he could call me back in about 10 minutes. My phone was acting up and only working on speaker. I did not receive a call back so I called yesterday for Jolene. Unfortunately, for me she was on vacation. They asked my name 4 times said there was no order. Gerardo called today and completely berated me and said I was rude when he called. I tried to explain my phone and could understand that could be how it sounded as I kind of had to yell. He did not allow me to talk and continued to be extremely rude. Also, they have my credit card and he even mentioned that he wasn’t sure he was even going to call me back. Wow! It’s stressful enough right now and were going to leave me hanging?!!!!! And he also wanted me to know several times he’s the owner. Chest pound. Read moreSo, I always visited the Gerardos up the road, and I was so excited when this location opened since it is closer to home. I have found some of the employees to be very rude, and they tend to rush customers out. This week we arrived at 7:50 PM and left just after 8 PM. We felt really rushed out. My boyfriend picked something he did not really want, because we felt so rushed out when there were no other customers in the store and two employees. There were two younger brunettes working (and one of them is always rude everytime we have gone in and she is working), and they locked the door as we left. A van full of people tried to walk in as we were leaving, and the girls did not let them in since they had just locked the door. It was 8 PM and the shop is supposed to close at 9 PM. They went from all smiles to disappointment very quickly. The entire group was sent away! On top of that, our treats were stale. We will not be back....
Read moreI've held back so many times about writing a negative review about Gerardo's but I just can't any more...I went to the Shrewsbury location the other day and bought a cake pop and a PB and jelly cupcake. They were terrible! The cupcake was dry! And awful tasting...they tasted like the refrigerator, and the frosting was awful too. 🤮 I have had at least one bad experience at both the West Boylston and Westborough locations and many at the Shrewsbury location. I only wish I could get my money back for ALL the terrible food! At the Westborough location, not only were the bakery goods awful, the customer service was too! She was rushing us and completely unfriendly! However, the Shrewsbury location always seems to have the nicest staff, too bad the food doesn't match. I've finally learned my lesson and I will not be patronizing Gerardo's...
