This is not your average seafood boil place. It's got a casual vibe, but they greet you with warmth right from the moment you walk in.
First off, you'll notice they have a free snack bar for all dine in customers. It's fully stocked with salads, various pickled veggies, Chinese specialties like duck heads and chicken feet, and desserts like sesame balls and jellies.
Secondly, we took a look at the menu and noticed not only do they have seafood boil, but a pretty impressive variety of Chinese cuisine options as well. They even have a House Special Chongqing Numb & Spicy sauce for their seafood boil, in addition to the typical cajun, garlic, and lemon pepper options you usually find.
The real kicker? The 2 person combo for $44.99 comes with egg, corn, potatoes, broccoli, and 2 seafood items of your choice boiled in one of their signature sauces. And on top of that, it even includes 2 more items from their menu of fried items, which is pretty extensive- wings, calamari, fish, cajun fries, and more!
We chose the soft shell crab and scallion pancake beef rolls for our fried items. For our boil, we got peeled shrimp and snow crab in their House Special Chongqing Numb and Spicy sauce. For $5 extra, we ordered some udon which soaked up the delicious sauce perfectly and paired so nicely with the seafood. We got medium spicy for the sauce and it was so delicious we even dipped the soft shell crab and beef rolls in it đ¤
As if that wasn't already a lot of food, we also ordered from their Chef's Special menu so we could bring home leftovers. We got the spicy chicken, which is deep fried crunchy pieces of chicken with fried lotus root sticks tossed with spicy numbing peppers. Our son loves this dish so we order it whenever we see it, and this was one of the best versions. We also tried the beef with pickled peppers, and we loved the sour flavors from the pickled bamboo shoots and peppers combined with the tender spicy beef.
After all that spice, we got jelly from the snack bar to cool off.
Thank you to the whole team for making us feel so at home...
Read moreOk lets start with how excited I was they finally opened! I chose dine out, to go home to feed my parents this food as well lol I got garlic butter and lemon pepper mix for my seasoning/flavor. There was barely any flavor. With garlic butter, you need the garlic to shine through to make it flavorful! Not enough garlic and it was missing some salt. Just simple salt will go aong way! They cut the crabs in half which takes all of the flavor out! I bought those crabs at my parents request! If I paid $60 for each crab then it would be best to ask the customer if they want it cooked uncut and opened. The size of the crabs were not that great for the price I paid. Just to find out when we opened the bag they chopped them in half letting all of the flavor out! Customer service was good but then again I didn't dine in to really observe. But if you look closely in the restaurant you can see where they didn't take time to really remodel it from its old owners. Walls are painted horribly and they painted over the walls that needed to be repaired. The light switches were dirty and half painted over lol although at first glance it looks nice it really needs to be repaired and repainted. They need to take time to add flavor to the butter garlic and lemon pepper flavors. I tasted no pepper and no garlic. I will more than likely not return. There are plenty of other seafood boils out there who are excellent! I paid over $200 and I honestly do not think it was worth it. The other thing I didn't like was the employees asking patrons to write a good review and they will discount them on their bill. I really dislike this practice by businesses. I haven't tried your food yet to...
Read more(Food poisoning alert) We decided to try Crab Grabber after seeing it pop up on little red note. I was already a bit suspicious about the flood of overly positive reviews, but we gave it a chance anyway. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a big mistake.
Within minutes of sitting down, another table next to us actually warned that the food wasnât good â and they werenât wrong. The seafood quality was poor: the crawfish tasted off, the squid wasnât even the type listed on the menu, and everything felt drenched in a sauce that tasted more like chemicals than seasoning.
We ordered 1 lb each of crawfish, king crab, squid, and clams + sausage, potato, and two drinks â the bill came out to around $200 including tip. But the worst part came after: both of us ended up with food poisoning and have been sick for over 13 hours (and counting).
Well...Probably shouldn't be too adventurous sometimes especially on new restaurants that have less than 50 reviews...... lesson learnt and hope to save you guys from making the...
