I'm just being honest here. I went here to grab lunch with my son's. We specifically came to get crawfish as their Facebook page had said 2 days prior that this weekend and father's day weekend would be the last time for crawfish. So we took the drive up from Fayetteville. When we got there, the cashier was ready and waiting for us and immediately tells us there's no crawfish that they ran out yesterday which was a bummer but we decided to stay and get something else. Also it's 1:30ish pm and they close at 2 on Sunday. One of my sons ordered a beer so a different cashier had to come up to ring that up. She didn't ask for his ID but a man ran up who I assume was the manager and asked if she had, so then she asks for it and he lightly scolded her in front of us. During this the cashiers are talking amongst themselves about the closing clean up shift duties. I ordered water with lemon and asked if the lemon was on the sauce bar as normal but was warned it could have already been put away or was about to be. We went to our table and then went to get water and there were no cups. I then seen the one cashier who waited on us and she says I didn't give you your cups? I'm so sorry. So we get our water and go back to the table and one of my son's food was there waiting. There was 3 of us. I had ordered the lunch shrimp boil with okra and some fried green tomatoes as an appetizer for everyone. My son did not want to eat before us so his food was getting cold. Then the manager walks up to our table and asks how everything was tasting. I actually gave a little laugh and looked down at the empty table and shrugged it off and we said fine and he immediately went to the other table to ask them. Our food came out shortly after, with my roughly 8 tiny pieces of okra. We asked the cashier who ran by talking to the other about the cleaning of the bathrooms, if we could get some butter. Me saying to the table that I hope she washes her hands first, but she brings back 3 pats of butter, we wanted the melted dipping butter for our shrimp. So she takes that back and brings us back two of those. I then had to ask about the appetizer that typically comes before any food was brought to the table. đł She apologized again and said did I ring you up omg yes I did and said let me go check on it, comes back and says it's still baking and about 5 more minutes đ¤. At this point I didn't even want it really. I left out quite a few things like the conversation between the girls and what needs to be done for closing. Also my shrimp was okay but a couple of pieces I couldn't eat because they had an odd taste, almost like strong chlorine. I definitely wasn't impressed with this place, and definitely miss the Fayetteville location that was closed. Probably won't be back. PS the girls were very sweet...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came in on Monday around 1pm. We have heard good things about the establishment and we love seafood. The place was not busy and it was easy to place our order. I wanted crab but was told they do not cook crab for lunch. So we chose shrimp and catfish. We were sitting at our table talking and waiting. After about 35 minutes I went to the counter to ask where our food was. There was no one at the counter and I had to go open the main door to sound the chime thing to notify them when people come in just to get someone's attention. The guy who took our order came out and I asked where our food was. He stated it just came up. So I walked back to our table annoyed mind you. Because 35 minutes is a long wait certainly when the restaurant wasn't busy. The guy brought our food over and said sorry I had to have them re-drop the food because it was cold. My boyfriend and I looked at each other in disbelief. I ate the rice but that was all. They got about $40 out of me for lunch and all I ate was rice. I am disappointed with the experience and I highly doubt I'll be a...
Read moreThis visit was so much better than our first visit here. From our initial greeting from Cindy, I had a feeling that this would be much better! We came in because of the BOGO Birthday dinner that I had received in my email.
After ordering, my son and I sat down in a restaurant that seemed almost completely empty, which it was pretty late in the evening. We sat in a booth and waited for our food.
When the food arrived, it definitely looked better than my first visit. Even before we ate our food, Cindy was over visiting with us and making sure it looked good. It did!
The catfish was very good this time. Cooked to perfection. And the tartar sauce was on point! The chicken couldâve used a little more seasoning, but it was definitely cooked perfect. The shrimp was great as were the garlic fries. The Mac and cheese was a little bland.
Overall, a great experience this time and it was mostly due to Cindy checking on us several times! She is incredible and made our dining...
