Average Food - poor service There is nothing really special about the restaurant. We stopped in at 2 PM after the Sunday crowd had cleared out, so the place wasn’t super busy. The manager seated us, at a table that was poorly cleaned. It really needed to be wiped down again before being used, but that didn’t happen. Ten minutes later I had to flag him down to ask if there was any wait staff covering our table. He rounded up our waitress, we got our order in and she disappears. I had requested the hot salsa to go with the chips. Ten minutes later she is back clearing other tables. I flagged her down and asked about the salsa. Then she got us some. They seemed to be so focused on cleaning up after the lunch crowd they forgot they still had customers coming in. We had the Ceviche and the Enchiladas Razorback. The shrimp in both meals was fresh, but neither meal was anything more than average in taste. The refried beans with the Enchiladas Razorback were very bland. I ordered chiles toreado to go with the ceviche. They were good! So, there you have it, average Mexican food, with service below average. Look around in Siloam Springs, you can probably find better. If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection "Jalapeno Highway" on Yelp. I've probably been there.

Usually, we enjoy this establishment, last night was lacking. We came in to a pretty empty restaurant we asked to be seated at a booth she didnt listen and put us at a table first then moved us to a booth that had been open the whole time when I reminded her. Then we sat and ordered our drinks (first time seeing our waitress) she left came back with the salsa chips drinks and took our order which she proceeded to write down the wrong order. We get our food by a nice kitchen staff(never saw our waitress again) it was wrong so I had to get up and flag another waitress down (ours disappeared but did appear for the owner family who came in and sat behind us. ) she took our orders back and brought us the right food. Mine was supposed to be carnitas mine was mostly fat so much that half my food i didnt even touch. At the end we even cleaned up our table and (still no waitress) walked to the front no check and the guy who tried to help couldn't find the ticket so he created one. Which charged us wrong. They could do much better. We have been here many times. Maybe it was an off day. But to be honest there is other much better authentic Hispanic restaurants that are much better. Choose wisely friends. 🩵💗

We decided to try the Matador, we got there around 4:30 in the afternoon . Plenty of seats. The chips and salsa came out quick. The salsa was chunky and tasty Order the regular guacamole, it was a little small for an appetizer but tasty I ordered the fajitas with ribeye, shrimp, and chorizo. The seasoning was good. Nothing was over cooked or chewy. Portions were big. They were good, but The wife likes fried birria tacos, the manager told her they would be added to the menu in a few weeks.

I understand that restaurants are understaffed and that service might be a little slower than normal. However, if it takes an hour to get my food then the order should at least be right. I ordered the Matador nachos and asked to add rice and white queso. When I got my nachos they were missing beans, sour cream and the shredded cheese the nachos were supposed to come with and had jalapenos which I didn't ask for and which the description didn't include. We also go a chimichanga de Cameron which is supposed to be grilled shrimp, filled onions tomatoes and peppers. The only thing included in the chimichanga was shrimp and nothing else. I'm sure I'll give them another shot at some point, but it won't be for a while.

Update 3/28/2022

The service has improved we were seated quickly and our waitress was super friendly. Unfortunately, I can't say that the food has gotten much better. We got the crab and shrimp enchiladas and each enchilada had one single piece of shrimp. We also got the chimichanga and whereas most places the chimichanga would be filled with meat and at least a cheese this only had meat and instead of it feeling like it had been fried it looked and felt like it had been put in a panini press. Chimichangas usually have a fluffy sturdy crunchy crust this felt and tasted just like a plain tortilla. The tomatillo salsa and white queso were both good but so far no entree that we have ordered has been good much...
