Once again I'm breaking my No Chains rule, but I've never seen one of these so no regrets.
First, the service was excellent. Full house but we were seated promptly. Our server Shelby was so fast and friendly, and we didn't even notice until later that she was also tending a packed bar. Our food arrived within 5 minutes, although we did order items that were mostly prepped ingredients. There was a small mistake (we had substituted fries for a different side), which just meant we got free fries and the correct item 30 seconds later. The service is why I am giving Ribcrib 5 stars even tho the food itself was only mediocre.
The pulled pork was fine, it's hard to mess that up. Nothing special. The smoked chicken was dry, tasted like reheated frozen meat. Which it possibly was. The house bbq sauce is good but again, nothing noteworthy. The side salad was good, fresh greens. But I wish the menu had specified that ranch was the included dressing and that it came with cheese - while I still enjoyed it, had I known I would have ordered something else. The fries were the most interesting part of the meal- they tasted like the breading on onion rings, but without the onions inside. I liked them. All in all, it was about what I would expect from a fast-casual bbq chain, comparable to Sonny's in quality. Not bad food, but nothing to write home about.
All the staff were wearing masks, but none of the patrons were. Of course you take off your mask to eat at a restaurant but I didn't see a single other customer who even had one with them. I suppose that's par for the course for rural Arkansas and certainly not Ribcrib's fault, kudos to the staff for...
Read moreValentine's day and wasn't really busy when we entered. Hostess seated us and we were waited on very shortly. Our drinks were brought and food was brought fairly fast but no one ever brought silverware. After 3-4 minutes of waiting for our waitress to come by or even any waitress for that matter to come by my wife finally got the attention of our waitress turning in an order and asked for silverware. The waitress then went and took two more orders, one behind us and one across the aisle from us and we still had no silverware. The waitress then brought drinks to the table across from us and left again. Still no silverware and our food getting colder. My wife finally got up and walked to the front and asked the hostess because she was the first person she seen, if we could get some silverware. The hostess then went and found our waitress at which time we received silverware. After receiving our silverware and finally eating the fine folks across the aisle whom we didn't know received their food but you guessed it. They had no silverware either so they had to wait on someone to walk by so they could ask them to bring them some silverware before eating. I made mention of this to a friend and they stated they no longer go to Rib Crib because even tho they love the food the service stinks. This could all be avoided if Rib Crib would teach their hostess' to take silverware to the tables when they seat...
Read moreAfter doing some homework, my stomach was growling. I drove by Rib Crib the other day, and had a hankering for some good BBQ, so I went there for lunch today. It was just me, and even though nearby restaurants were busy with their lunch rush, Rib Crib didn't have that many people. There was no wait for a table, and I found out through the host it was open seating. The host wasn't at the host stand when I walked in, but I found out she was training a new hostess, so that was okay. I was sat in their "Lounge Area", which is their area next to the bar, where to can watch sports. The waitress greeted me almost as soon as I sat down, which was good because it gave me a second to sit down and get situated at the booth. I got my drink, but was having a hard time deciding, since the prices are a little on the higher side (Which is understandable considering the selection of meat they have). She pointed out the lunch special, which is 2 meats and a side, which is exactly what I wanted, so after she came back to get my order, I got the Hot Links, Chicken Breast, and mashed potatoes and gravy. Food came out very fast, and wasn't too hot to eat, but warm enough to where it had a good smokey flavor and I wouldn't burn myself. Drinks were always filled, waitress was excellent. Good place to eat, good staff, and...
