Great little dessert cafe with refreshing drink options that really hits the spot. The atmosphere is bright and the staff members are incredibly friendly and accommodating.
My partner and I have visited Sweeteria twice in one month, which says a lot considering we usually stay home during COVID. Weāve tried their hot matcha latte ($4), iced Thai tea latte ($4.95), iced rose latte ($4.95), steamed bread with pandan custard ($6), and their Thai tea toast ($11.95).
Iāll be 100% honest here with my review of the Thai tea toast ā I was both skeptical and reluctant to pay almost $12 for what I assumed was just a piece of toast. I was surprised how delicious it was!
The toast was a generous size, it was more like a mini loaf with crunchy edges and soft interior. The Thai tea drizzle on the toast was amazing. It came with this DELICIOUS coconut ice cream with crunchy bits for texture and I could probably eat an entire pint of that ice cream alone. The toast came with a dollop of whipped cream, topped with slices of bananas, strawberries, blueberries, Oreos (thin kind), and plated with one macaron and granola sprinkled around.
Itās definitely a special treat and would be best shared with someone since itās quite rich in flavor and the portion was big...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreService: Iāve always wanted to try Sweeteria but never found the time until recently when I went with a friend for brunch after church. Ordering was simple and quick using the kiosk system, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Our meals came out within about 15 minutes, which was great for a Sunday brunch crowd.
Taste: I ordered the French toast with fruit, and my friend had an egg and cheese croissant. Both dishes were delicious, fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The teas were also flavorful and paired nicely with our meals. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable everything was, especially given the quality.
Ambiance: The cafƩ is absolutely adorable inside, cozy, clean, and bright with a warm and inviting atmosphere. There are stations by the windows, which make it a perfect spot to do some work or enjoy a quiet coffee alone.
Overall Review: Sweeteria exceeded my expectations. Great service, tasty food, and a charming atmosphere at very reasonable prices. Iāll definitely be back to try more of their drinks and desserts. Perfect for small groups, casual brunches, or a solo work session...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSweeteria is one of Silver Springās not so hidden gems. They have the best French Toast. I said it. The Mango Sticky Rice Loaf was spectacular. The Rose Latter was refreshing and smooth. The assorted Macaroons are a heck yes. The Ham & Cheese Bun (I donāt even eat that stuff) was delightful š and perfect for breakfast or lunch. The cheesecake cups are great, however, I personally DO NOT like the ritz cracker base. What elseā¦.? The customer service is like no other. You get to enjoy amazing desserts, a super chill atmosphere, and friendly, heartwarming people. š
Please visit Sweeteria, but most importantly, please shop small, local and independent brands. Itās very important that we continue to keep our local economy thriving. Also, this is an Asian Owned business, so be sure to support your local entrepreneurs!
