Downtown silver spring thrives off of small businesses and I was very eager to support this one after viewing their construction for some time now. Unfortunately, my expectations granted them too much grace which makes me hesitant to return anytime soon. I arrived during a mild hour as I was able to walk up to the cashier as soon as I entered. I ordered a small matcha tea that took 20 minutes to make. It wasnât until I asked to cancel my order that it was âdoneâ. They never took my name or announced when drinks were ready so I encourage customers to stand by the counter to ensure they receive their drinks. Once I left I noticed the matcha tasted like warm milk, and once I opened the lid I realized thatâs what they gave me.
I suggest giving this place a few months to find an operation that works for them. They seem promising, but they are not suited for people who want to grab and go. This is definitely a business where you are encouraged to sit down and be patient. On a positive note, their menu looks good, and pastries seem delicious. Iâll wait some months to give this place...
Read moreEasily one of my new favorites as a serial cafe remote worker. The windows are massive( almost floor to ceiling), allowing so much light to come in, it just brings the place to life. The internet is fast so you can get work done quickly. Now, what most of you foodies are waiting for; the options are varied and the food is on par with say your Panera (while not over doing the menu), Iâll avoid saying what Iâve had as menus do change, but as of this posting, you wonât be disappointed, nor will you come solely for the food. However, the desserts OMG, Iâm not sure whoâs making this stuff, but they need a raise and really just need to be my personal dessert artist, 90% of what Iâve had there (bakery) will likely be the cause of my eventual passing, but itâs so worth it!!! You just have to try it for yourself, Iâm not going to tell you whatâs good, let it be a surprise and just enjoy, knowing that the brand...
Read moreIt is so nice to have a place for a special breakfast and more. The pistachio croissant was nothing short of decadent. The cappuccino was not as strong as I like but was piping hot and fresh. The earthenware, sleek tiles, and high ceilings give this place a luxurious feel while remaining relaxed. This is a good spot for treating yourself or just getting away from the usual. I would have rated my visit with five stars, but there was only one cashier and one runner available on a holiday weekend. They did their very best, but the wait for coffee was 20 minutes although only one person was before me in line. Nonetheless, the service was pleasant. I would be happy to return and try more items from their...
