I have driven by this food truck hundreds of times, thinking I would stop, and I never did. Yesterday my cousin suggested eating there for lunch today, weather permitting. It was nice out, so we decided to have lunch there.
I have always heard that food trucks have the best food; I cannot deny or agree with that statement, the last time I ate food from a food truck was twenty years ago, But I was willing to try it.
Now to the food. My cousin ordered number 117. This meal consisted of 3 Taco Dorados, rice, and beans. She had her tacos with Carne Asada meat, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese. I think that Taco Dorados typically have potatoes in them; come to think of it, she never did mention that it did or didn't. She did say they were good and flavorful. Because I did not taste her food, I will have to go by what she said.
I had a side Burrito; next time, it will be a taco salad or tacos. My Burrito was ok but bland; it consisted of beans, rice, and Al Pastor for meat. Al Pastor is marinated pork or chicken with pineapple pieces.
I didn't hate it; the size was pretty large but filled with predominantly rice and beans with less Al Pastor, but if I try this place again, and I probably will eventually, I will order something else and re-review or at least add to my review. The salsas were good; the green salsa had some heat, so go into that knowing that; the red was mild but tasty.
I know everything is more expensive these days, but I feel it is a little on the pricier side; the two lunches, remember mine was considered a "side," and we came with our drinks; after tax & tip, it was shy of $30.00.
The sitting situation could be more comfortable there; the food truck is in a small parking lot. I saw two tables beside the truck, and I believe I saw two tables behind it. Most of the immediate nearby parking spaces are taken up by businesses; that said, Trader Joe's is directly behind it; although Trader Joe's shares a large parking lot with a few other companies, there's typically plenty of free parking.
If you want to try this Mexican food truck, you can find them at 9975 Mickelberry Road NW, Silverdale, Washington. They are within walking distance to Trader Joe's, Bed Bath and Beyond, Goodwill, Costcos, and the Doctors Clinic.
A perfect way to support a locally owned small business! Please remember to be kind to ALL living...
Read moreWant to start out by saying have eaten a couple times from here. Was super excited to have them cater my wedding. Booked them in June for the following March. Fast forward to a couple weeks befor the wedding I find out they don’t have proper fire permits they let them all expire for mobile food trucks they did not get them approved until 2 days before the wedding so that added to the stress of a wedding. which a food truck was suppose to take away stress from the wedding. The day of I get a message asking where to park again because they lost the paper I drew them again something a bride should not have to worry about on the wedding day. They then got there and parked in a no parking zone resulting in an accident to occur. Then texted me during the reception stating if there was no more people coming out they where leaving. We paid for two full hrs of all you can eat. This was a hr into the two hrs I did not get the message until later that night when I had my phone handy again. we had guests go out to get more tacos at 5:27 and the taco truck was pulling out. It was brought up to them a couple days later when she messaged me for the information for the guy who hit her yes it was my dad but not my responsibility to be bothered with. When I brought up to here about not being happy they left early she said We asked the woman who came up to the truck in the dress(what woman I am sure there was plenty of woman in dresses but not the one who had a contract and paid you) if anyone else wanted food she said no everyone was done and we were informed to leave (informed by someone other then the person you have a contract with) Also we gave away 10 Togo boxes to your guests for for there seconds which we don’t do but they asked to take food home ( not somthing we asked for we asked and signed a contract for 2 hrs of tacos not a hr and 27 mins) . We had a great time and I’m sorry if you’re not happy with your catering can you please tell me anything else you aren’t not happy with so I can do better moving forward . Thank you so much. So we paid full price for an already overpriced taco truck to do 75 percent of a job. I don’t feel like we should have to pay for the who thing I should get 25 percent back since they only stayed 75 percent of contract time.recommend for day to day food would not recommend for a...
Read moreHave to say I was excited for a new Taco truck in Port Orchard. Pulled up at 6pm and nobody there eating, I was greated friendly. I found the menu a bit pricey. I had rolled tacos and a kids sizzed burrito (bean and cheese). Got home and opened my food and the burrito was kid sized and I got 3 little taquitos a very small portion of rice and beans in my meal. Now to the flavors, the rice was good, the beans had no flavor and the rolled tacos were not bad, I was however left hungry with the portion sizes. Overall not bad, but there are two more places (I will leave nameless) within 1/4 mile that are in my opinion as good or better and alot less expensive. Neither offer Birria style tacos but again just a better value overall. Not sure I would go again for these reasons. It is good to have options, this just wont be an option for me. Not at all saying not to try it, but its pricey compared to your...
