Wow....should have come here sooner! Have we ever had a Hot Chicken place in Simi? I think this is the first.... Finally came here today today(Saturday)to give it a go. Son and I frequent some other Nashville Hot chicken places that I won't mention here but they are in Chatsworth, Agoura, and downtown L.A. We both ordered combo #1's-hot heat level on both. Took a little while to come out but I expected that. Cooked to perfection-everything-chicken juicy, fries seasoned and crunchy bread toasted just right. Good spice level. Next time we come I'm ordering exact same but on the tender I'm going to try the hottest one just for kicks. Some of the reviews said A/C wasn't great inside and granted is wasn't that hot today- but temp inside was good. Other digs on the place in reviews that I've seen were overly loud music, and not the kind I like. But it was turned down to a bearable level and I was absolutely fine with it. Order dude was super chill and friendly too. Biggest problem-Simi Mall location....normally the death knell for everything.... Let's keep this one open guys!! Come here-It's...
Read moreI was really hoping that this place would be good given the long lines but I was a sorely disappointed.
After waiting about 40 minutes for two orders, we tasted the chicken and realized it was incredibly dry. It was so dry that even their "special sauce" (which tasted bottled), couldn't do anything to help. The ranch was also somehow flavorless. The hot was not spicy and the chicken itself lacked any flavor. The hot powder used also was only spice and lacking in flavor as well. The fries were undercooked and also lacked any salt or flavor. The toast was raw bread with a slice of barely melted American cheese and was also incredibly dry.
For a place with a such a steep price point for mid food, I cannot recommend it to anyone. The one saving grace of this restaurant is that the employees were quite nice. Otherwise, I would go to any other Nashville hot...
Read moreWe placed an order around 10:00 AM for an 11:15 AM pickup. The restaurant advertises an 11:00 AM opening, so we arrived at 11:05—only to find the lights off, doors locked, and no sign of life inside. We waited until 11:15, still no one showed up, so we left empty-handed and frustrated.
To make matters worse, there is still a pending charge on our cards for three separate orders, and now I’m having to go through the hassle of disputing the transaction with my bank.
This wasn’t our first disappointment. On a previous visit, the food was decent but took over 40 minutes to prepare. Given the mall itself feels like a ghost town, we hesitantly gave this location one last shot—and they couldn’t even be bothered to open.
It’s baffling how people can run a business this way. I would not recommend this location to anyone, and we will definitely not be...
