Started from the beginning, so I sat down at bar was look at multiple times by servers and was greeted by cook after 10 mins. A couple sit down in a booth next to me. Melonde the server went right over and got their order look up me and said oh I didn't see you and I know she look at me at least 3 times. She said do u know what you want and I replied yes, she then need a pen even though she just took their order. So I asked for a LG hot tea in Togo cup and order hash browns which she had to ask about twice not write down right and a waffle. She turn to a Trainee and asked her to get the tea which she brought me and a small cup so I asked for a large one. While she was getting my large one the food for the couple came in they placed all the food for the Couple. The cook Lewis turn and said here’s the hashbrowns the trainee took the hashbrowns and set them Down with the tea LG cup. The trainee asked if there was anything else I said I’m just waiting on my waffle now the cook said it’ll be just a minute. A few minutes later Melonde walks by in the cook hands are the waffle and says here’s the waffle she turns hand it to the trainee and the trainee sits in on the couples table turns around and the cook said that was not for them that was for the lady there so the trainee turns and says I’m sorry I will make you another waffle give me just a minute I said fine I have now ate half my hashbrowns and they’re starting to get cold so I’m finishing my hashbrowns and still no waffle and the trainee says to Millatti oh I think we still have to get that waffle she walks over the waffle area opens it and it is burnt so she then has to make another waffle which she says I’m going to stand here and wait for this waffle I’m not going nowhere till it’s ready Melanie proceeds to come and lay the check on my table and pick up my plates from the hashbrowns she says it’ll be just a minute for the waffle I said that’s fine and I’m drinking my tea a few minutes later the trainee sits the waffle up in front of me and walks away I cut into the waffle and it’s half cooked there still waffle mix coming out from the inside so I can’t really eat that so I just get up And pay the bill I did leave a tip because I don’t believe that you should never not at least tip but with the service that I got that trainor Melonde should never be a trainer Because the trainees will learn bad habits from her she is the worst service I have ever came across and I eat in a lot of waffles houses all over the US. If your ok with Being ignored and not getting correct food this is the waffle...
Read moreThe service was worse than bad. Picked up a to-go order and when we got there the restaurant was indeed packed. So we waited patiently for the waitress to take our order. The entire time of giving her our orders she was trying to talk us out of ordering because they were too busy and there was going to be a wait. We told her we didn't mind waiting and in fact we would go next door to the Dollar tree and grab a couple things and come back. So when we came back 20 minutes later they had not even put the order in and so we ultimately waited an hour for a relatively small order. The woman was extremely rude the whole time the food was cold by the time we got it even though we were waiting for them to cook it by the time it got ready. I honestly would not have tipped her anything but my wife paid and she tipped her anyway. We have both worked in the food service industry so we understand that servers don't make a lot of money as a base salary and they rely on their tips to even level out to minimum wage. At the same time you should treat your customers well being as they hold your salary in the balance. At any rate I will not be returning to this waffle House anytime soon although it is less than a block from my house. There are three other waffle House restaurants in town so we will be going to one of those assuming this chick is working. The hash browns were actually pretty good although the steaks were both cold and rubbery. My waffle was pretty good although my wife's waffle was about half size missing the circumference edge. It was as if they ran out of waffle batter and instead of mixing up new batter they just went with what they had. I mean seeing how I already waited an hour for this food was an extra minute going to do really in the grand scheme of things? If I could do zero out of five stars I would although the one star can account for the hash browns which are...
Read moreI recently embarked on a gastronomic adventure at a Waffle House that left me flabbergasted and belly-burstingly delighted! Picture this: I walked in, and the aroma of sizzling bacon and fresh waffles enveloped me like a warm, breakfast-scented hug.
The waffles, dear reader, were a masterpiece of culinary engineering. They were fluffier than a cloud convention, crispier than autumn leaves, and their golden hue was more radiant than a sunrise over easy. Each bite transported me to a syrupy paradise, where maple sweetness danced with buttery goodness in perfect harmony.
Now, let's talk about the staff. If there were a Pancake Olympics, these folks would be gold medalists. Their pancake flipping skills were on par with Olympic gymnasts nailing a routine. Not only were they experts in culinary acrobatics, but they were also friendly and attentive, making me feel like a cherished regular on my first visit.
As for the ambiance, it had the cozy charm of a hometown diner. The retro decor added a touch of nostalgia, making me feel like I'd stepped into a time capsule of classic American diners.
In summary, this Waffle House experience was more than just a meal; it was a breakfast extravaganza that transcended mere sustenance. If I could rate it using waffle emojis, I'd shower it with a 5/5 🧇🧇🧇🧇🧇! Whether you're a local or just passing through, this Waffle House is a must-visit for breakfast enthusiasts and waffle...
