First off the food is so salty I ate there day before st Patty's this year, couldn't even take 3 bites of my 15$ cheeseburger because it was so so salty, slapped together fast all condiments were scarce they don't even ask how you like your meat(rare, well done, etc.) tables were sticky and disgusting, one group of 6 men and some with wives and they were bulligerant, loud, and racist. I have. Big afro right now I'm mixed but look white and they made fun of me to the point me and my brother and his son complained (nothing was done, they just fed us lip service the main guy that day did at least) and paid , still left a 25% tip for the waitress it wasn't all her fault only the tables but she was so kind and gorgeous we had to tip her. Will never go again. It's similar to a truckstop fast food place without fast anything and very little food selection. The burger looked over cooked but it looked like it was going to be good...nope the salt was insane. Here's what my meal looked like in the pic. I would not recommend this for anything but fantasy sports meetings where it's just drinking and eating beer snacks and selecting players for the week. Sincerely - I hope this saves at least one person the 60 bucks I wasted. Thanks for reading! Ps. Plastic cups with coffee straws that make your lips touch the cup anyway. The waitresses aren't proactive, they don't check up on their table or 2 every now and then or even look to see if they are done eating or out of their drink I mean I could go on. But you get the message. Lol wrote way more than I thought I...
Read moreI am from Minneapolis and was visiting friends this weekend. We decided to have a night cap here. Due to my awful experience at Bodega, I think this is the worst bar on Pearl Street.
When it's bar close, the employees here unnecessarily yell at patrons. The bouncers even handle customers and physically throw them out during bar close. I, a smaller woman, was forcefully grabbed by a large male employee and thrown out the door when it turned bar close - ultimately bruising my arm. They also wouldn't let sign my tab. This was NOT acceptable.
Please train your employees to keep their hands off women. I've never had such an unpleasant experience at a bar. Stay away from this place! I will never return and do not support this type of behavior in a business.
I called to tell a manager about the incident. The unapologetic man was extremely rude. He said the issue was being internally addressed. The manager never apologized, argued with me, and continued to blame me for the incident. He told me I wasnât welcome at the bar and the best he could do is refund me. I asked for the name of the employee so I can move forward to press charges. The manager admitted it was him who assaulted me. In conclusion, he lied and the assault is not being...
Read moreThis bar is the definition of âlooks fun from the outside, immediate regret once you walk in.â The vibe? Non-existent. The music? Think elevator playlist but somehow worse. And the drinks taste like someone googled âcocktailâ and gave up halfway. The only thing mixed here are the priorities.
Service is slower than a Monday morning, and the staff seemed just as confused about making drinks as I was about why I stayed long enough to find out. Waiting 20 minutes for a drink shouldnât feel like a personality test. Also the bartenders saying you need to leave a tip in order to receive good service was a horrible way to start an order. Usually tipping is based on the service you receive. Not the other way around.
Also â for a place that markets itself with cultural flavor, the attitude inside did not match the name at ALL. Letâs just say hospitality and respect clearly didnât make the menu. personal property will most likely be mishandled and damaged, which did happen recently and the âoh wellâ response from staff was the final red flag.
If you enjoy long waits, bland drinks, and disappointing energy, this is your spot. Otherwise, go literally...
