Sioux City Convention Center — Attraction in Sioux City

Very, very limited handicap parking. There is absolutely no parking lot and only a few usable spots on the street. Leaving handicapped persons needing to park in the ramp a block away. The bathroom doors are heavy and very difficult for wheelchair and those using walkers to get in and out. The entrance as well has ONE handicapped automatic door, ONE! This is also inconveniently placed for handicapped use. Anyone handicapped al. Almost had to have someone with them to get in and out of this building and to drop them off out front so they don't have to walk or wheelchair at least a block. The street the ramp sits on also has limited curb egress for walkers and wheelchairs this makes haveing no parking at the convention center proper even more difficult for handicapped individuals to navigate. This event sponsored food trucks outside of the building but patrons were not allowed to bring food or drink inside to eat at the tables in the large common area outside the event room itself.

In general I dislike going to the convention center for any event. The event was excellent it's just too bad the facility isn't very accommodating, especially for handicapped...

Had a work function at the Convention Center which made it easier for us to socially distance by expanding into 2 of the banquet rooms. We usually ate in room C, however we just got the food and brought it back into the main 2 rooms. There was not a lot of thought it seemed in how we are supposed to get our food and silverware back to our tables. Food was not very good and the serving sizes were very small. The main course had just pasta and vegetables in a sauce. There was no protein to be found. The veggies were very over cooked and the sauce was bland. The desserts were good and a better portion size. The temperature of the center fluctuated so much that it made it hard to stay...

It was busy but a positive, uplifting, secure, safe & memorable environment. I desire to drive to aid in works unavailable by busing. I miss & love helping. Lots of love 🥰was shown by new, usual, young, old & longtime witnesses & interested ones. I was invited to a June gathering by an old friend. I exchanged info from someone I haven't seen since highschool (maybe Monroe Jr high). I want to do more at the Lincoln Convention. Maybe Jehovah God will help me find a way.
