My wife had gotten a choice of a gift card from her job I had convinced her to go with outback because I have had it in the past and was never disappointed and since she has never had outback and we love steak I figured it would be the perfect choice even though it's over and hr away from us. When we got there we were seating quickly and the server Ashley was quick to take our drink order but that was about it. She took our drink order and walked away but she then came back and was talking to a family in the booth behind us loudly the entire time. I don't know if it was her family or not, then she asked if we wanted and appetizer again since my wife had never been there it took her a second. We decided on a blooming onion since we were familiar with these in other places. Then she disappeared again. Someone else brought the drunks and the onion. When we got it we were surprised to see the most of the middle was raw onion. We ate a few pieces thinking it just looked that way but it was definitely raw and most of the breading all around it was gone. My wife is the quiet one of us but she was pretty upset so when the person who dropped it off asked if there was anything else she mentioned it didn't seem cooked. The waitress was sitting in the booth behind us talking to the other family, she got us and asked what was wrong when we told her she laughed in my wife's face and said they just come that way eat around it. My wife took the answer since she had never been there and didnt want to be a pain.. when our steaks came we had asked for medium rare, and also at this point we still hadnt even been goven silverware my wofe had to ask for it. the second we started to cut into them we knew they were rare they were pretty blue. We let the waitress again know. It was really busy in there so we didn't think it would be an issue,so she took out steaks came back. Almost immediately and you could smell and see that they had just tossed them in the microwave. Now my steak was cooked all the way to medium and burned on the outside and my wife's was right where it needed to be. I was not happy but again left it alone. At no point did my wife get asked if she wanted a refill on her soda or anything it was ridiculous. the waitress to to busy visiting to do her job. $69 for a subpare steak I would have been absolutely livid if they had tossed a ribeye in the microwave instead of a sirloin. In the end we didn't want to be karens so we still tipped her but we couldn't get out of there fast enough. Won't...
Read moreWent for dinner tonight. Our server was very nice. I ordered my steak well done. I sent my steak back because it was rare. The manager brought my steak out and asked me to cut into it, in case they took it too far…it was then a medium cooked steak. I apologized and told her that I would like it well done. The manager herself brought me the steak, set it down and walked away. I had to get a different server to contact the manager to get her back to our table. She acted surprised when I told her I couldn’t eat that steak because it was so burnt it was too hard to even cut. She offered to have something else brought out, but we had been there an extremely long time and still had a 2 1/2 hour drive home. She said she would take the steak off our bill. I told her I wanted to take some of the chocolate cake home so she sent our server over to take the order. I explained to home I would like 3 pieces of the chocolate layered cake to take home for my children. I never looked in the bag, but when I got home I had 3 brownies with melted ice cream and whatever else that melted stuff is in the other containers. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in this Restaurant. There is a proper way to cook a well done steak, not burnt. I can’t believe the manager would even try to bring anyone a steak that was obviously so burnt. I am not happy that I paid for dessert that wasn’t what I ordered! It was after we left that my husband told me he didn’t think he would get his steak down because his was too rare instead of medium, but wasn’t going to say anything after they cooked mine like they did. So disappointed that these people couldn’t cook or deliver what we ordered. Definitely won’t be wasting any more money at this...
Read moreMy wife and I ordered the filet mignon in medium well. As soon as they came out, we questioned where these cuts of meat were from because you can clearly see these were not the correct part of the tenderloin, if any at all —- A female manager came out, unpleasantly, and I asked her what cut these were, and she said you can clearly see they are fillet mignon’s because of the way the meat is ’turning up on the top’. I asked her which part of the tenderloin these came from and she had no idea what I was talking about. She said she could take them off the bill and I told her I just want a proper filet mignon.— The next two she brought out were better cuts of meat…. but still didn’t look like the right cut of meat and we’re very dry and grayish. —-Then we noticed a couple behind us was asking to speak with a manager because they said their fillet mignon’s are obviously not the correct Cut, and she was arguing with them as well. The couple said they have never seen a filet mignon with such fat and Cartlidge so she’s clearly wrong.
This lady manager has no idea what she’s doing, and instead of taking the sides of the guests, she just says that’s how they are made when she has clearly never butchered a cow like myself. — I would assume after four people complaining about the cut of meat that she might think there’s a problem, considering she doesn’t even know what she’s looking for, but she would rather argue and tell a cattle rancher they are wrong.
Get rid of her. And find a chef that knows what he’s doing.
I’m including a picture of the first steak brought out. It was full of fat and came apart in stringy sections...
