It was my 1st visit to a Firehouse Subs restaurant. The staff didn't acknowledge us for a few minutes, that's why only 4 stars, not 5...they were milling around behind the counter. The counter is high so I couldn't see what they were doing. Once they did tho, they were friendly & answered our questions. We each ordered a sub(one large & one medium) & nothing else since we had chips & drinks at home. Our order was $20 which is on the high side if u compare it to a place like Subway. But we didn't need to add 'extra meat' like we have to do there & that def brings their cost up. I give the food 5 stars! It was so GOOD! He had a FH Club & I had the Brisket. I'm always afraid to order any kind of roast beef cuz they are always tough no matter where u go but OMG...this sandwich melted in your mouth, the flavors were wonderful & the roll was so soft & fresh. Kudos to FH for getting it right! I'm a chef by trade so I can be critical. My bf really enjoyed his sub too & he can be picky. Each sub came with a kosher dill pickle slice, the really good ones! Nice treat. So the $20 cost is just fine with us & we will...

There was another young man that was working the cash register that made eye contact with me then looked away. No greeting from anyone or a be right with you etc... not a huge deal but an acknowledgement is always good in customer service.
So I waited for the three to finish the order that they were working on... once they were finished, the older me made eye contact with me, then looked around. He asked, "Are you waiting on something because there is not a ticket up." I replied, " Yes, I just haven't been helped yet." His reply? "Read the sign." Pointed to a sign above the cash register then turned his back on me and walked away. I was so flabbergasted I asked him, " Did you just tell me to read the sign then turn your back on me?" He replied, "Yep." Then pointed out two signs and read, "pick up and order, it's not too hard".

Reached out to the "Help Desk" for Firehouse subs but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start by saying that I've been to this location many times over the past year and a half. Always a great experience. This was not the case today. I don't know if management changed or what, but such a disappointment. There seemed to be more playing and talking going on than anything. After placing my order for 5 sandwiches all with extra pickles a door dasher came in. For some reason my order got pushed behind his. While they made his order, they all talked and goofed off. They were all very vulgar with absolutely no concern for the children sitting in earshot. After waiting over 30 minutes I had my food. Got home, more disappointment. Food wasn't packaged well, and not 1 pickle in the whole mess. I hope this is not the new normal for this location. I will try it once more before ruling it out, but what a huge turn off. Such a shame! Used to be a wonderful place to take the kids into. Get it together guys. Bring back the professional family...
