Stensland Family Farms Ice Cream — Restaurant in Sioux Falls Township

Plenty of flavors to choose from which is nice. However, let me caution you now, DO NOT ORDER THE "donut" filled with ice cream. While it may sound delicious and they do have an amazing looking yet decieving picture of a donut filled with ice cream strategically placed on the wall behind the counter, what you will recieve upon ordering this item is NOT what you are looking at or for. Instead of one donut filled with ice cream, you will recieve two lightly toasted slices of bread sandwhiching half a scoop of ice cream ever so lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar. While I did become suspicious of the way that the two employees looked at one another upon hearing my order, I decided that it must be about something else and proceeded to stand there in excitement and child like wonder waiting to recieve this magical dessert. One can only imagine my disappointment when the employee handed me my hot ice cream sandwhich with extra bread. All that being said, lots of flavors to choose from. Oh and I too am a person of color just in case anyone sees the other review also mentioning that this could be some reasoning for such poor service. I like to think that in 2024 such a thought would be simply over thinking or even perhaps projecting but, I thought I would mention just in case others have experienced some strange treatment as well and had...

Good staff, cute little shop, and lots of neat dessert choices. As ice cream lovers, Ever since moving to Sioux Falls we've been looking for the best place to get ice cream to replace our favorite shop. Unfortunately it's not here...

The ice cream was just OK. It didn't have much flavor to it. We were hoping to find our favorite classic: strawberry ice cream! But they only had the base ice cream with strawberry bits ("Strawberry Fields"), and it was just really plain. The waffle cone was also a bit tasteless. At the bottom of the waffle cone there was this weird chocolate ball, kind of like a Whopper candy piece, and it was really sour and left this horrible aftertaste. So after finishing our treats there was nothing memorable or satisfying... I don't think it was worth the high price. Tried it, don't need to come back. Time to...

Such a cute store! When you're greeted with samples of squeaky cheese, you know you're in a good place ;) Just passed the squeaky cheese is a fork in the road; one way is to try out a cone, dish or any of their crazy a la modes in mason jars, ice cream sandwiches, etc or to create your own gift basket with their tasty treats and cute kitchen gadgets. In this area, you'll also find the freezer stocked with pints of single flavors, assorted ice creams in a convenient box and some take and bake pies as well as meats.

I went with the sweet corn ice cream with praline and we took home a pint of white chocolate peppermint stick - they were all so good!! The sweet corn tasted like really rich vanilla with a more buttery...
