Absolutely horrible experience at this place. My family went here and was appalled by our experience. I ordered sushi and after I had already eaten a few pieces of it, I noticed a piece of hair laying on top of my food. I quietly told the waiter what the issue was and that I didn’t want it, and she said she would go talk to her manager. She comes back to the table with the same plate she took away and proceeds to tell me that the chef has on a hair net and has short hair…I have never in my life had an experience where you tell a restaurant that something is wrong with your food and they question you…beyond insulting. I told her I did not care about the chef’s hair and that I did not want it. It actually could have been her hair, because she did not have on a net and it matched her hair. She goes away and a few minutes later another person, I am assuming the manager, comes over, and now he has the plate in his hand and proceeds to say that the plate has been on the table for a while and that it could be ours, even though the hair did not match anyone at our table….I could not believe that they were actually trying to justify the situation instead of just doing the right thing. Absolutely ridiculous…we just got up and left. Because of their ignorance and poor customer service, they just let a potential $200 plus bill slip right through their hands. That behavior is not acceptable, and I will not spend money in an establishment like this. Unless you like hair to come with your sushi…stay...

We’ve been here several times, we always do the hibachi. The cook really makes the hibachi experience, we’ve had some cooks that will have you rolling the whole time saying stuff while cooking your chicken, “chicken say….“meow”” which is probably the funniest thing I’ve ever heard one of them say. Some do very little but no matter what, the food is always really good.

The portions are huge! My picture has only about half of the rice, veggies, chicken, and steak that you would get because they cook in increments cooking everybody’s veggies first, then the rice, then the steak, then the chicken, then shrimp, then the noodles. I wanted to be able to eat some of my food while it was still hot so I compromised and ate some while waiting for all the items to be finished.

Flavors are amazing! Asked for my steak mid rare and it was perfect.

On this particular visit, the cook didn’t do any egg spinning or throwing. Pretty much just did the volcano and that was it so not much of a show. With hibachi, waitress really only has to take your order and bring out your drinks. If you have read any of my other reviews you’ll know that my pet peeve is when service staff “auctions” off food or beverage which our waitress did on this visit with the beverages which is even more cringe than wen they do it with food.

Overall, decent service and fantastic food… sometimes you’ll get a hell of a show to boot. ...

We’ve always loved Fuji Sushi and Hibachi for both the food and service, but this recent visit was disappointing.

When we arrived, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. The server then took names, but although we were there first, another group of the same size was sat ahead of us. We were seated on the hibachi side instead of the sushi side (where we came for) because there was no more room. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because the hibachi chef was fantastic — fun, engaging, and made the kids’ night!

Unfortunately, the service from our actual server was lacking. Everyone at the hibachi table who ordered sushi received their food, except for mine and my husband’s rolls. They didn’t come out until about 20 minutes later, by which time most people were finishing up. During all that time, our server never once checked on us. When she finally brought the rolls, she returned just a few minutes later with boxes and checks, without asking if the food was okay or if we wanted dessert. It was my birthday celebration, and we had planned on ordering dessert, but it was clear she was ready to move us out, so we went elsewhere for that.

The food itself was, as always, delicious and beautifully prepared, but the service this time left so much to be desired. I hope this was just an off night, because we’ve always had great experiences...

There was a bit of miscommunication on the rolls I ordered- but I think I could have handled it a bit differently: I’m allergic to avocados, so I asked they be substituted with cucumbers. One roll was, and it may have just been because I pointed it out on the menu, however, another one was not and came to me with avocados, but it also didn’t list avocados in the menu. The wait staff was amazing in correcting it for me! The food was phenomenal! I got miso soup, an appetizer and 3 different rolls than I normally do and I could not tell you which one I loved the most, they were all delicious and fresh! Will definitely eat here again. Excuse the half eaten rolls in the photos, they were so good I didn’t think to stop for photos.

I used to really enjoy eating here for the sushi and hibachi. However over the past two years it had gone down hill drastically. $2.19 for a can of soda that is out dated, had dirt and black stuff around the rim where I physically had to wash my can with soap and water not to mention it tastes disgusting. Also, when you ask for sides they are not even filled up and you get charged for two side when you ask for extra but then only get one. You ask for certain things and it’s not made correctly. When things are made correctly their food is great. However my experience with them the past two years just keeps getting worse.
