Arrived at 7:53am pleasantly greated by the staff and quickly shown to a table and recieved a small glass of ice water and a coffee with cream as requested moments after taking my seat. Table was clean as was the silverware and dishes. The table top spices and amenities were stocked and clean. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, The empty tables were all well prepared for the arrival of additional guests. The windows were clean as were the seats and floor. The waiter arrived and gave some advice on which meals were ordered the most, so I decided upon the Western Omlet with pancakes as the side, I recieved my meal at 8:00am. Omelet was fluffy and warm as were my pancakes. Pancakes were golden and served with butter and warmed syrup, both on the side, this was nice since anyone may apply it as they desire. Coffee was an average drip coffee served with regular unsweetened cream, however table is stocked with sweetener so anyone may use it as needed. The staff appear to be well dressed and clean. Music played overhead loud enough to be heard but not so much as to distract from table conversation, though it did stop for a few minutes. Staff regularly checked if I had everything I needed including refilling my coffee at about half empty. Recieved check at 8:15am without needing to ask or wave down waiter. Establishment pays at table so no need to walk to the front. My meal charge was for Coffee and a Western Omlet. Coffee was $3.59 and the Omlet was $17.79 with $1.54 in Tax. The total cost of my meal came out to be $22.92. My server was Natasha W and preformed a perfect service. After payment I used the restroom and it was clean and tidy. The toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap were all stocked. Though I did have some trouble figuring out this type of hand soap dispenser, but they do work. For those with babies or infants the male restroom is also equipped with a baby changing station. All around I give this place a 4.5 due to the fact that the food was delicious but not particularly memorable. Perhaps I'll try something different next...
Read moreI have been here on three separate occasions. All three times I have gotten unique pancake meals, all just unbelievably delicious.
The Dutch pancake has a concave mountain-range like look to it. It's thin and chewy and is served with powdered sugar and lemon. I highly recommend this to anybody wanting something different.
The coconut pancakes were such a sweet flavor that was complimented perfectly with their tropical syrup. The tropical syrup is a thick syrup substitute with a good variety of fruits, like orange and pineapple. The meal was served as six smaller pancakes. Very good for those with a sweet tooth.
The apple pancakes are monstrous, both in size and flavor. The Granny Smith apples with cinnamon and the 20 minute cook time, it's like your own personal perfect apple pie. Request some lingonberry sauce to add tartness to the sweet and you will be amazed and in awe at the quality of the flavor you are eating.
This is an extremely high end restaurant with quality food. And even when it was a full house, we got our food in a timely manner. Five out of five...
Read moreBeen a while since being here. Wanted to try their biscuits and gravy with the 9 yo kid. Just ordered it straight away after sitting down and very friendly waiter was out quick with it. Be warned, this is neither traditional nor exceptional. It's filled with red pepper flakes giving a very unnecessary spice, and the sausage is very sub-par and in larger chunks. Gravy was very bland. To top it off, they charge $16 for a couple of small, unremarkable biscuits covered well with disappointing gravy. What is it going to take to stop this madness? Boycott the B&G? I know I won't be back, but maybe others that go there can take a stand and demand some kind of reason. Hopefully this helps others avoid making a B&G mistake at the OPH. I've always enjoyed other menu items, so this is more opposition to their ridiculously grandiose belief in their B&G. Waitstaff was very friendly and fun to talk to. Please make your biscuits and gravy unpretentious, reasonably priced, and more exceptional than a crock-pot at the [insert crappy hotel...
