I have never written a review, but the experience I had at this place was comical. I walk in, and there are 6 people working behind the counter, all smiling and very pleasant. The first guy asked me what I would like and I said, "I'll take a burrito". He then grabs a bowl and asks me rice what kind of beans, etc... Then throws it all in the bowl. I was a little dumbfounded, and said politely no I would like a burrito, not a bowl. This request didn't seem to have any affect on this hipster esque Hawaiian. He then looked at me dumbfounded, and I restated my request a third time. At this point all of the circuitry firing in his brain must have blown a fuse, because he just kinda stared off into space for a few moments, then put the dough in the press, and on to the grill. He turned back around and proceeded to put everything else in the bowl! At this point I realized there was no getting through to this guy. The next guy dumped queso in the bowl before asking, and then said it was going to be an extra charge. I almost lost it in laughter at this point. No biggie though, as I was going to request queso all the same. The hipster Hawaiian completely fried one tortilla, and moved on to a new one. I'm almost to the register and all of the sudden my bowl is getting thrown in with the ladies before me. Now we were also on tortilla three I believe. I waited patiently for the confusion to work itself out, and then here comes the tortilla on down the line. I witnessed that tortilla change hands five times as if no one knew what to do with it. Ultimately it ended up in a bag of it's own. While paying the cashier couldn't get the machine to work, to top it all off. Whew what a ride. All in all the food is good, and everyone was super friendly. So I'll give em 5/5 stars, mainly for the...

The restaurant stands out primarily for its made-to-order burritos, which are crafted with freshly pressed tortillas. The menu at Pancheros is straightforward yet satisfying, with options ranging from tacos and burrito bowls to salads and quesadillas. Read moreMy husband and I were die-hard Qdoba fans, and we were headed there one day when he suggested "Hey, let's try that new Panchero's place." I married a smart man.
In Sioux Falls, we have many places to grab a "fast food" burrito. Qdoba, Moe's, Taco Johns, Taco Bell, Giliberto's... the list goes on. So I kind of figured Panchero's would be more of the same. I was so wrong.
This is the best damn burrito in town. Between bites of my husband's burritos and my own, we have tried all 4 of the meats and they are all outstanding (even the Tofusada, and I generally think tofu is foul. But they make it work)
First, they make the tortillas right in front of you using a sweet tortilla press and a grill. Their tortilla is outstanding. Their meats are well-seasoned. The way the rice mixes with the queso... there is no word to describe it except "magical." Something they also do which a lot of burrito places skip is that they MIX the stuff inside your burrito up before they wrap it. So you don't get that lame "all sour cream" bite you get elsewhere.
In terms of the restaurant itself: The place was clean/spotless. The booths were comfortable. The staff was friendly and knows how to make a damn fine burrito.
It's a...
