VaughanTECH — Local services in Smithfield

My desktop HP finally bit the dust and being it that I just moved to the Smithfield area a few years ago I was concerned about what to do, where to get help and I remembered driving by this store a few times. I called, they were very responsive (in fact the best I've ever seen for tech), sincere and professional. So I took the computer to them. By mid-next day they confirmed the mother board was history and because it was a very old system probably not worth the cost to repair. Lucky for me they have computers they build right there and ready for use. I found a great deal and finally got one with a SSD! and 1TB too! They even let me use my diagnostic fee toward a new computer!!! I took it home and everything I had on my old system was right there and ready for me and much faster too! A few days later a hardware issue with a few of the USB ports appeared and VaughanTech took care of that too and no cost to me! Very fast and effective---high quality service! Terrible sums up this place. Unhelpful as it gets, didn't want my money. Went there to buy a new laptop and printer for my business only thing I need additional was a billing template installed, They said they didn't do that . ( I said I was willing to pay what it takes ) But do computer repair ?? Said I could find it myself on line. That's just poor business. Went to Providence computer and the sold me a new laptop and printer, and installed a billing template in 10 minutes. Not so hard for them. Response to your comment. I offered to pay you for putting the template on a computer I would buy from You, as I said I couldn't do it. You lost a $1000 sale of a new laptop and printer.... something your could have done but just didn't want to take the time. The connection is you do computer repair so a template should be easy. I can't, I cut trees down as you know since you took the time to research me instead of taking the time to earn my business...

There are few businesses That I feel compelled to review but after visiting VaughnTech today I just had to leave a review. I always try to support local business when possible. I could have gone to one of the big guys and been completely ripped off. Although we could not arrive at 100% certainty of what was wrong with my PC we were as close to 100% certain that the problem was in the motherboard a repair that would not have been cost effective. Instead we salvaged the hard drive and my old pc lived again in a new body. I can not thank you guys enough. If you have a computer problem and lets face it everyone does at some point do yourself a favor and make the drive regardless of how far away to VaughnTech. Honesty and integrity are import and these guys have both in spades. They have a customer for life and again I can not state enough bypass the Geeks and come to VaughnTech.
