Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Smithfield

Was rushing home after my daughters late soccer game hoping to get there before they closed as it was already too late to make dinner for the family. Pulled into the lot at 8:58pm to see the open sign still on and gave it a shot. Staff was clearly already cleaning up to close and I asked if it would be a huge inconvenience if I placed an order (absolutely expecting to get the look of death for asking, which would of been completely understandable). Staff was super kind and friendly and said “No Problem, come on it”. Every employee there managed to say hello and was very sweet, young man you made my order was super friendly and did not try to rush me out in the least bit. While making my sandwiches, He carried on small talk, got me to enroll in their rewards program and even tried to upsell me a cookies (which I almost caved in, but fought the temptation). Absolutely great experience, kudos to the management and staff for a job well done. And last but not least, sandwiches were absolutely fresh and delicious. My husband and I went to Jersey Mike’s for the very first time ever in our life and we’re both retired people. We were there today at about 2 PM and the reason I wanted to leave a review was because the man that was working in the store and making our sandwiches was the kindest, loveliest, most personable and polite human being we have encountered in a while. We were so impressed by his social skills and his willingness to help and offer suggestions with a smile on his face really made a grand impression. If this was my store, I would do everything I could to keep that employee happy and to keep him on my team. I wish I knew his name. I finally tried Jersey Mike's this week (the one on Branch Ave in Providence). It was much tastier than I expected based on comments from friends who weren't thrilled with it. I like to try things myself though and I'm glad I did! I found the combo club I got yummy. However, I think I can understand why my friends weren't happy with their sandwiches though. I ate mine right after it was prepared and before I was through it was starting to get a little soggy. I'd recommend skipping the Juice if you won't be eating your sandwich right away.
