McDonald's — Restaurant in Smithfield

This McDonald’s location is, without a doubt, repeatedly the worst fast food experience I’ve ever had, but it's unfortunately the only one in the area. Every single time I visit this place, I am met with rude and unprofessional employees who clearly have no interest in providing even the bare minimum of customer service. The staff, especially those working the drive-thru, are abrasive and seem to go out of their way to make you feel unwelcome. They barely greet you, often cutting you off mid-sentence, and the attitude they give is downright hostile.

But the service isn’t the only problem. The food is consistently awful. I’ve lost count of how many times my order has been wrong. It’s almost like they don’t even try to get it right. On top of that, the food they serve is often dry, tasteless, and sometimes even tastes like it’s expired. The fries are cold and stale, the burgers are thrown together with no care, and the nuggets are either overcooked or feel like they’ve been sitting under a heat lamp for hours.

What’s most frustrating is that this isn’t a one-time issue. Almost very single visit, the experience is terrible. It’s clear that management has completely lost control of this location, as there seems to be no standard of quality or professionalism at all. Compared to every other McDonald’s I’ve been to, this one is by far the worst, and it’s not even a close comparison. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place...

I'm not quite how to rate this place. It was a Sunday, about 2PM, and I stopped in for a snack. I seldom use the Drive-thru of any place and went inside. There were about eight customers sitting at the various tables eating their orders. There were two customers ahead of me and the counter person took all our orders. The two customers and I had to wait for our orders. I noticed that several orders were brought out to the customers already seated. During my wait, several other customers came in and waited at the counters for more than several minutes. They waited patiently; however, I did not, I yelled to the staff that there were customers waiting to place their orders. All of the staff seem to be working, filling orders, but I was ignored. There was one staff member bussing the tables. I told them that there were customers waiting at the counter and no one seemed to care. She said she would taker care of it. A few minutes later my order came out, I decided to take it to go. I noticed those customers leaving without ever having placed their order. Once again, it seemed that all of the staff was working, it seemed that there were plenty of staff working, I just can't imagine how they got so...

Deplorable. Pulled through for the hubby. Ordered him a triple cheese with light mustard, a medium fry, and a shake. I got a total of 17 and change at the order window. Then 12 something when he asked me to repeat the order. Then when he took my card he gave me a 3rd price. I don't know what it was (I'll have to check my statement) because I didnt get a receipt. Curious, that. Because now i can't complain to the company!! The fries are cold, stale tasting, and there's NO salt. They were turned on their side in the bag. The burger is not good. Bottom bun was so hard!! The meat wasnt even warm enough to melt the cheese. The only thing on the burger was a dot of mustard. No ketchup. No pickles. No onions. Wtf!? I know its a bunch of kids (literally) working, so there's no pride in their job. Rather sad how much MCDONALDS has gone downhill. They serve an all around terrible meal.
