Papa Gino's — Restaurant in Smithfield

Sorry guys, I generally like your pizza, but... Let me preclude this review by saying that I know the quality vs. price debate before you even think it, so... I get it, but... Keep in mind I already anticipated having to heat everything back up once I got home. Ok, so I tried the burger - not horrible, but they ignored my request to put all veggie condiments on the side (see photo). Just threw them on there. Fries didn't even have salt or any seasoning NONE. Doesn't even come with ketchup packets. Lastly, just look at my $5 hot dog (pathetic). Uncooked white onions (can't even see them in the photo that's how little there were) and pickles. Bun came apart before I even picked it up. No sauce either - DRY. I was going to put condiments on when I got home. The dog was barely heated up. I could do better for cheaper (and most likely quicker) making it in house. I'm going to do that next time. PASS ON PAPA'S. I just knew they would screw it up and they still did ANYWAY. DO BETTER PAPA GINO'S. Sad. Thank god I don't tip for pick up, I'd want my money back. I'm taking a T.O. from Papa Ginos for now. Do better. Be better. It was absolutely DEAD in there, even on a Friday. DEAD. No excuses. Maybe after a few months I'll try again, maybe. Doubt it though. Piezonis makes just as good food if not better.

In conclusion, I hate seeing people who hate their jobs perform them poorly with disdain towards the customer who are the ones actually providing them a purpose to have a job in the first place. This was an online order too, so no excuses about instructions as they were communicated through the Papa Gino's website.

Update: Went back after a while. Just pizza from here from now on. Problem is the prices are way too high now. $20+ for a large pepperoni? Sorry, Piezonis it is from now on. Cheaper and just as good, if not...

I really wish I could give them Five Stars. I order a three topping pizza frequently and the toppings are SPARSE almost non-existent! Yet you pay a lot for what you don't receive! So I am now boycotting them and been with a Mom & Pop pizza place locally that actually gives what you pay for and is FRESHER! Papa Gino's did me a huge favor as one door shuts another opens as the saying goes! You would think a franchise as this would not skimp as opposed to a local business. I don't know what it is with the people they hire but they surely do not take pride nor do they smile and nor do they make you feel welcome there. It's almost like you're the problem and it's their world why are you in it and bothering me. So for that customer service has totally declined - one star, a negative star was not available for an option. Plus the side door to get into the establishment is so idiotic they have a steel pole right there so either you come in or go out your apt to hit it. Poor Design. Lastly I'm putting it on the record that the same entrance to that door where the pole is located blocking egress for a smooth open flow, the walkway has crumbled up and broken cement where as you can easily trip and fall. Been that way for some time. Nothing has been done to rectify it. SO if somebody gets injured feel free to use my post for proof I have also...

I ordered cheesy breadsticks online and when I went to pick It up they had no cheese on them just Breadsticks so I told the guy why isn’t there any cheese on them? He told me I ordered it like that I told him I did not order it like that so I told him to put cheese on it and he told me no he would not put cheese on it this is the last Time I step foot in a papa, Gino’s and D’Angelo‘s grinder shop. This is how you take care of your customers when there’s a problem you lost a good customer over something stupid like this man. remember, the customer is always right even though he’s not he is right you keep treating people like this and you’ll be out of business. You lost my business and you Can stick Your pizza with the sun don’t shine shine. I Am going to tell everyone that I know what rotten service I’ve gotten from you people you should be ashamed of Of yourself the way you treat your customers. Have a nice day. Don’t send me your stupid coupons. You can keep them. You Ain’t the only pizza place...
