I'm going to start off by saying that this Dairy Queen is the worst one I've been to in the state. The worst of these problems by far is the staff, for reasons they can and cannot help. I decided to post a review after my experience the evening I write this. At about 6:20 PM, I pulled up to the restaurant, and decided to go inside after noticing a long drive-thru line. I step inside, and there are about two families in front of me waiting to order. There are many people in the kitchen working hard and quickly to fill orders, the priority being the drive-thru. There is one girl at the order counter, and as soon as I come in the door, she steps away, leaving me and many others waiting to order. There's also about five people standing around waiting for their to-go or dine-in order. After leaving the register, the girl stands around, leaving me and many others puzzled as to why we can't place an order. After about five to ten minutes, the two families leave, as well as a few people that came in after me and wisely decided that it wasn't worth it. I step closer to the order counter, hoping that somebody will take my order. By this time, another girl had joined the one previously at the register, and while they were not on their phones, they were talking, clearly conscious of the fact that I was waiting but deciding to ignore me. After a few more minutes, one of the girls asked me if I was waiting to order. I said yes. The girl informed me that their registers were not working, so I smiled, and told them that I won't be ordering, and then left.
The reason I did not order was not because of the registers being unavailable, but because there were perfectly able people to at least write my order down on a piece of paper, but chose instead to ignore me. This is not the only time this kind of service has been given to me. This location has staff that is frequently slow, rude, and is understaffed most of he time. Even with an adequate number of staff, they clearly do not have the training to deal with large volumes of people or get orders placed, even if the technology they are using is not working.
The managers and the staff ALL need to be trained and evaluated to fix this problem that presents itself every time me and my family come through the door. All other DQ's I've been to in Tennessee have been at the very least kind enough to take my order and not ignore me and the massive line wanting an answer. This is a terrible excuse of what a Dairy Queen should be, and has problems at any time of day that can be solved without much issue.
I do NOT recommend this location at any time of day or night until the staff and managers get their act together. Just this evening they lost about 10 customers,...
Read moreAccidentally said “Reese blast” and laughed and said “I’m sorry a Reese blizzard, bro on the headset was obviously having a bad night because he repeated “Reese BLIZZARD” with a smart tone emphasizing blizzard like it was a big deal to him I said something wrong and corrected myself. I then said I wanted a dipped cone and he says “I need a size” in the same smart tone, I told ole boy to not even worry about the cone since that was apparently too difficult of an ask. On the menu that I posted a screenshot of there clearly is nothing stating a size, if they need to know a size that’s fine you could say “yes sir what size, X, Y, Z” not have an attitude and say you need a size without specifying what we need a size of?? Lmao. Almost asked him if he was cool but I was trying to be nice, pulled up to the window and it was some other employee, a girl that looked like she hated her life and had the personality of a rock just like the person who took the order.
Life’s already difficult enough, not sure why people feel the need to be rude to others when they’ve done nothing to them, that’s why I try to order through apps to avoid people like the kids who work here who apparently hate...
Read moreI'm not sure what happened to this DQ - but the past 3-4 years it's been terrible. Prior to that it was really good. I keep giving chances hoping it will get better once in a while - but I can't hold back any more.
DQ needs to straight up investigate this franchise. Whatever they are doing - they ain't doing it right and they need new management / ownership.
The service is always bad. The staff is not welcoming. The inside of the store is gross. They can't take orders. They can't run the register. They can't get your order right.
I stopped by yesterday for the first time in a LONG time thinking I might buy a birthday cake. Right in the door the staff tells me they don't have any vanilla soft serve - the very basis of their entire business. A door dasher is standing there asking for an order and they are saying they never saw it. Looking around the store is nasty and there is no one in there. There are about 4-5 cakes in the freezer. I don't dare order one - no telling what the outcome of that would be.
DQ Corp - if you are reading this - you need to be...
