Should have read the reviews. I get this is a new place but the youngins working there are obviously more worried about collecting a paycheck than doing their job. I placed an order for 4 subs. Excited to try a new sub sandwich in the area. It's girls night and the wife had 2 girlfriends over and I got one too. 2 of their three orders were wrong but made it work while switching toppings. Mine was way wrong. The issue? The receipts attached to each sandwich were written how ordered. One of the 4 were right, the receipts mean nothing. I'm allergic to eggs...got a cold sandwich because I eat later in the evening. Receipt attached to the sandwich clearly says no mayo and no onion. Not only did it have onion, but it had a half a gallon of mayo on it. Is it that hard to read and follow directions? Going to bed hungry because I can't eat it. Not a good first impression from a new restaurant. Also, guy that gave me my order (ordered online) seemed more worried about checking his phone for I assume more followers than to make sure I was taken care of. The sub looked delicious until I saw the mayo. A lot of potential here because the food looks great but one has to be able to eat it and it should be as ordered. Extremely disappointed, out about 50 bucks for one sandwich that was...

I had gotten the Philly Cheese steak for the first time ever and wasn't very impressed with it. I felt like there wasn't much of a flavor to it and all I was tasting was bread. Also the fries weren't much to brag about. I saw them all go into the fryer but still had fries that weren't cooked so I'm not sure what happened.
Service 5 out of 5
Hannah was my server and we talked a little bit. She was very nice and outgoing. She didn't make it seem awkward to talk to her.
Atmosphere 2 out of 5 There wasn't anything special about the decorations or arrangement of the place and am actually surprised they need that many tables and chairs. It makes it seem like there used to be a ton of people that went there and now they all go somewhere else what also cemented that idea was that there was only 1 worker.
Other things of note.
Pop machine was so low to the ground I had to bend over to get my drink instead of standing straight up. I am 6'4 but I have never had a problem anywhere else before
OVERALL:
$24 for a meal that didn't fill me up is a big disappointment. while I do understand prices for meals are going up this shouldn't be the case. It made me feel like I shouldn't go back to try...

I've done my research and I have awarded these fine folks at Penn Station the Best French Fry in Smyrna designation. They overcome the life longtime reigning champ Hickory Falls Steakhouse, besting the competion on multiple judging criteria. Price point of course, but there's something to be said for presentation. The investment made in the open kitchen concept potato bins makes the concept of fresh. Never frozen three-dimensional to those lucky enough to be in the present atmosphere. Quantity played a big factor in french fry scores here, a perpetual Achilles heel for the valiant chefs at Hickory Falls. Penn Station takes the quantity points hands down. This is the big benefit towards Penn station over hickory falls. It's close though and two greats are battling it out. I just hope it's going to increase the game like when Giorgios came to town and busted up the Salvos pizza racket. But don't get me started on PPP-P-P-P-P-P-PP-PIZZAAA! WHOA...
