Waffle House — Restaurant in Smyrna

My fav Waffle House!!! Lord I'm so happy this location reopened... When they were taking orders from the location on Bolton rd the little girls answering the phone were so ill mannered, unprofessional... I canceled my food because I was too scared they would do something to it. South cobb please dnt close again...

• TODAY IS 8/2/2020**

So ( it's my daughter's 15th bday) we're here at our favorite Waffle House again and upon walking in it's pretty empty.. The chef greets us and shows us where to sit. I looked around and There's another family here..and they just started eating. Then the cook ask if we were ready to order.. Huh? Why is he asking me.. Because the waitress os gone! This man is running around here like crazy making sure everyone was taken care of.. Remaining very professional and the food was great. Not to mention he was cleaning as well. I don't know how this slip up happened, but he deserves some type of bonus.. Not recognition is the company paper either.. A bonus tax free check. Customers are coming in back to back with big orders and he's knocking them out the park. Thank you again Yai, the food was amazing!!!!

I've been to this location twice. The first time was on a Saturday morning. It was fairly busy, as to be expected. I stood at the des to place my order. The cashier kept losing her pen, flirting with the guys, and walking around aimlessly instead of acknowledging me. After several minutes, I left because she still had not found a pen to take my order.

Today was my second time visiting this location. It's a slow Wednesday morning. I walked up to the To-Go counter to place my order. No one acknowledged me when I walked in, but the cook told the cashier that I was standing there. Her response was, "I know". She shook her head, huffed, and walked to me to take my order, then walked away and started doing something else. I continued to stand there, waiting for my total. She eventually gave me my total after another employee told her that I was waiting for it. Again, the cashier approached me while shaking her head and breathing hard. Typically, I have good experiences at Waffle House, but this location has been the exception. Apparently, some of the staff would rather not be there...and it shows. I will not...

I often visit this location and generally have a good experience with the food and service. It's a positive atmosphere and always brings a smile to my face. But during my most recent visit, I guess they hired someone new, and he was honestly very rude. I waited for a table to be cleaned for about 10 minutes, and it was not. But when a larger group came in after us, he cleared the table almost immediately, which I found odd. Another waiter eventually had to clear the table for us to sit at; at that time, the first waiter had the time to take the orders of the group that came in after us and serve them before we could even order or receive silverware. He was very cold when taking our orders, a complete shift in energy compared to the other group, and our orders were wrong. Portions of our meals were missing, and thankfully, we did get it taken off the check. We were not attended to during our meal but immediately handed the bill. The only excuse he could provide was that they were “swamped,” which I understand, but it was also almost 2 AM and only a handful of...
