We got: 2x Pho Dat Biet (house pho), a coconut matcha, a viet ice coffee, and a smart water. We paid ~with tip $60.
There was a bit of a wait, about 15 minutes and like 4 people ahead of us. The place was very clean. Once we ordered, it took about 10 minutes to get our food and drinks.
The pho bowls were huge and were only one size, me and my wife could definitely share one. The pho came with plenty of herbs like culantro, basil, bean sprouts, lime and there was all the typical sauces, with a few that looked like they were made in house. The food actually came with a small cup of what I think was a very light green tea. It actually was extremely refreshing and nice to sip between bites.
The pho broth itself was relatively clear. It was slightly sweeter than normal, and lots of aromatics. The noodles were good with a little bounce. We got a good portion of meat. Brisket, flank, tripe, and tendon. All good quality. Overall great.
The coconut matcha was cool because the matcha was sat on top of the coconut water. We shook it before we got a picture lol. It was the perfect amount of sweet and so good.
The Vietnamese coffee was thick and creamy, lots of ice though, but that’s to be expected. It was a good quality drink for sure!
Overall I would...
Read moreMy wife and I were recently craving a good bánh mì, and after not finding many quick Vietnamese sandwich spots near our home in Acworth, we decided to make the short drive to VN Sandwiches. We’re so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The shop is run by a friendly mother-and-daughter team, which makes the experience feel even more personal and authentic.
The menu has an impressive selection of Vietnamese favorites, from soups and rice dishes to refreshing milk teas and strong Vietnamese iced coffee. Since our cravings were set on bánh mì, that’s what we ordered, and it absolutely hit the spot. The bread was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and the fillings were fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced — exactly what you hope for in a classic Vietnamese sandwich.
To complement our meal, we also tried their milk tea and iced coffee, both of which were excellent. The coffee had the bold kick we needed for a caffeine boost, while the milk tea was smooth and refreshing. We didn’t try the soups or rice dishes this time, but we’ll definitely be back soon to explore more...
Read moreI've been waiting for this place to open and I finally got a chance to drop by today as part of their soft open.
The pho was good, nothing spectacular but solid enough to scratch the itch.
Vietnamese coffee was good as always.
And on to the bahn mi.. Everything except for the meat was spot on. Great bread, fresh toppings and sandwich sauce. The pork however was severely lacking salt and I added my own from the table. The meat was also barely cooked, definitely lacking the char, color, or crispyness that is expected with a grilled pork bahn mi.
I was pretty disappointed by the meat on the sandwich, but since they just opened and I want to see them succeed I am giving a generous rating and will come back in a month to give them some time to iron out any wrinkles.
The price was high and at premium levels, so I'm hoping the food can get consistent and catch up to the price as there are other cheaper outstanding Vietnamese options within a few miles.
I would've happily shared my feedback with the staff but I was not asked how everything was. No problem, I'll give them some time and...
