My Family and I walked in this morning, and as I was trying to sit, my two children 11 and 14 at the bar. I was told that those seats were reserved and they weren't able to sit there and that there were plenty of seats on the other side... Ok?? So, my children were seated in a booth in the back corner. Which was fine.. and Myself, Husband and Mother in law were seated two Booths up from them. Ok, so, after we were seated, the Watress who took our order told me that the children were in a seperate zone so they would have a seperate check which is fine, I like that better anyway..so I could see exactly what we were charged for!! Another server went to take the kids' orders, and they got all their food pretty quickly.... we, on the other hand, had to wait a little bit.. The server we had was kinda rude and just placed all of our silverware and napkins in a pile in the middle of the table!! they brought out my husbands food, which was hot, and then a few minutes later, brought out mine and my Mother in laws, which were biscuits and gravy and 2 Waffles with scrambled eggs and a side of bacon they were cold like they had been made and sitting to the point they were room temp!!! So I had my Husband wave down a server because the one who was serving us was not paying any attention at all!! To let them know that our food was cold!! And she repeated what I said like she couldn't believe it??? They only remade the Waffles... She ended up bringing me 1 bill totaling $70?? I asked how she got $70, and she took the check and added up everything on the bill and said yep I got 70??? I know what is on the bill equals 70 I was asking how she came to that number ?? but I didn't say anything else about it. I paid it and left no tip worst service I ever had at this waffle house on Sam Ridley!! They definitely need a secret...
Read moreI always loved going here with my family until I had a bad experience with Minta the server. I ask for a box to go and she put the money in the boxi ask her for another one because that’s where I was going to put my food I didn’t wanted to put my food after she put the money there. Well ever since then when I went on weekdays she would never want to serve me and talk about me to the other servers. The last time I went on a weekday was with my sister and we sat where it was her area to serve and I have my sister and the other servers as witnesses she said very loud I’m not going to serve them I am not going to serve them someone else better serve that table. So someone else did and after all those instances I have had enough of her childish attitude and I made a complaint against her. After that me and my husband and kids would only go on Sundays late afternoon to avoid having to have any interactions with her. Today we went in the morning and she sees me and starts asking the server and the main manager of the district to tell I told her something. We walked and I didn’t say anything to her. We seat and she came to act as if she wants to serve us even though it’s it even her area. I tell I don’t want her to serve because my experience with her has not been great. The manager comes in and starts blaming me that I’m the one telling Minta names. And she said you can leave so I left I didn’t felt she wanted me there me or my family even though they have on record how Minta has treated me and my Baby boy. I never want to go back to this waffle or any because they are racist and do not hear the customers. They know well how Minta is and they still allow her to work there and there was no reason for her to be put to serve me today I know that was done on purpose the manager wasn’t...
Read moreSubject: Discriminatory Disappointing Experience at Waffle House
I recently visited Waffle House and unfortunately had a disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share. Upon arrival, found that all tables were occupied, so I checked in at host / cashier and waited patiently in the designated waiting area
After some time, two older white gentlemen came in a stood by two tables that ppl were getting up from. Despite my prior presence and having checked in with the staff, one of the servers began cleaning a table for them.
Feeling overlooked and disregarded, I politely informed the server that I had been waiting for a table as well. She assured me that a table would be available soon and offered to clean another table for me. However, when I expressed my preference for the table that was being prepared for the other patrons, I was informed that they were “regulars” and would be served first.
This blatant display of favoritism and disregard for my presence as a paying customer left me feeling disrespected and discriminated against. It is disheartening to witness such behavior in a supposedly inclusive and welcoming establishment.
On a positive note, once seated, we were fortunate to have Amy as our server, who provided excellent service and hospitality. However, the initial treatment we received overshadowed the rest of our dining experience.
I urge Waffle House to address issues of discrimination and ensure that all customers are treated with fairness and respect, regardless of race or any other factor. Discriminatory practices have no place in any establishment, and I hope that steps will be taken to prevent such incidents from occurring...
