It’s so sad how people treat others and most of all our brown little girls My daughter and friends went to Waffle House last night fromOsborne HighSchool Homecoming They were dressed nice and wanted to get something to eat after.Myself and other parents dropped them off, I wait in parking lot until they were done!I’m guessing the survey name, Miss Mary Caucasian lady overcharge our young ladies Did not want to give them a receipt, miss Mary had a very rude attitude.Well, this lady overcharged my daughter, My daughter had a waffle and bacon. She charged her $14.15.When my daughter got in the car, I asked her what did you buy? She said a waffle and bacon off the kids meal for $6.25. I said well why was it $14 she said I don’t know. I kept trying to ask her, she would not give me a receipt,So I went back in to speak with the staff I asked how much is a waffle and bacon off the kids meal they told me $6.25, the lady Miss Mary say she’s not 12 and under I said OK did you tell her that she said yes I did.I called my daughter on her cell phone She was sitting in the car I said did she tell you it was 12 and under? She said no she did not..So I asked her could I see that on the menu? She showed me the menu and read it to me and it states that it’s 10 and under and I said OK it says 10 and under if you’ve been working here for a while, you did not even know that.So I said well, how much is a waffle and bacon? She said that’s $8.20 and I said OK. How much tax did you add to it? She said well we don’t have a POS system here and I said OK but if you know your prices, and if you can do the simple math in your head or on a piece of paper, then why are you at the front taking cash? I said, but you charged her $14 For a waffle and bacon, then you owe her change I said can I have my refund so she played around with the register? Unfortunately, she did not know what she was doing so she had to call for help! Saw a black guy came to the register help her. I spoke to him. He did not speak. No problem with that.But the thing was, they were mad because somebody called them out on how they was treating the kids how they was overcharging them and adding up stuff that they did not have. None of the kids receive receipts for the amount that was Old. They was just telling them different amounts. So then they tell me OK your refund went back to your card. I said OK can I have proof of that? Can I have a copy of the receipt? They did not know how to print me out a copy of the receipt to give me proof they said OK well can you take a picture of this? We have to show this to the manager,So I told my daughter to call all her friends and let them know that they was overcharged to check their receipts and come to find out none of them receive receipts. They tricked all the kids with different prices from what was on the menu and charged them over the amount did not provide receipts did not provide good. Customer service and Waffle House needs to know this. That’s why I told them I educate my daughter on how to count her money, And if she has a problem to come to me about it because I don’t want nobody trying to call the police on her for something that she did not do, but she was being taken advantage for because she is a minor and people take advantage of kids and then lie and say that they are being disorderly or disrespectful and then wants to call Cobbcounty police out on them for something that they’re doing to the kids, as I stated to Miss Mary, that’s why I’m my child advocate. My child is 15 years old. She knows how to count. She knows when she’s being treated rudely or disrespectful or Experiencing racism.It’s very shameful That we have to still experience these things today!Please note my child is in honors mouth and she can count!!!!!It’s sad that people work for these business with poor and bad integrity, but forget about what you put out is what you get back so every extra dime that she took from those kids, if waffle House know that their staff is treating people this way...
Read moreWow, just wow. I'm not from Atlanta, but if this is how the Waffle House is here, I'm just thankful they aren't this amazing in San Antonio because I would gain so much weight! This place was SLAMMED busy, and the staff looked like ants scurrying about like when you kick their mound... Continually asked if I was ready to order, did everything taste well, did I want more to drink, etc. The total wait time from order to delivery was just over 5 minutes. Everything tasted absolutely amazing! I asked about cheese and gravy on the hash browns and the waitress said it was a fantastic choice... It would be delicious. She was 100% correct! The place was clean, temperature was just right (it's freezing, then warm on the same day), and even the restroom was clean! A side note, I always thought Texas was friendly, but after being treated with such kindness and courtesy in the businesses (especially here at this waffle house) and the streets, regardless of race, for the first time in my life I actually like a place almost as good as Texas! I think the people are actually more friendly here and simply don't care what color you are! I hear "please", "thank you, sir", "may I please...", "we truly appreciate your business, sir"... Wanted breakfast food this morning so I got up late and by twelve after I ran my errors waffle house seemed like a good place to get some eggs, grits and grilled chicken. Needless to say I didn't know part of my seasoning was going to be hair. At first glance I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was my hair. When I tried to remove it from the chicken breast the hair was fused to the meat so I immediately notified the manager and he looked at the plate as though he was confused as to why I brought this to his attention. Without any apology he then took the plate away. So my next step was to run, I got up from the table to pay and there was a cashier other than my waitress, however my waitress said I have our I must remove the chicken from his check. I thought to myself, only the chicken? So I told he I'll pay for it because in my mind I just wanted to pay my bill and leave and never come back. In the industry where customer service is key YOU would have thought that they would have taken off more than just chicken, but lesson was learned today.
