Came from out of town visiting family and wanted to try this place. There are so many good restaurants in this area and we haven’t tried Gregory’s yet. Menu looked awesome. Lots of options, little bit of something for everyone. We came in around 8 pm (2 hrs before close and got sat by 845) place was packed and they were on a wait. Thought that was a good sign..wrong =\ .. The bang bang shrimp appetizer was really good but our dinner entrees were terrible. By the time we ordered and got our food it was around 930, which was towards the end of the night. I feel like they rushed making our food and just wanted to get out of there. Flounder on the seafood combo had absolutely no seasoning on it and was veryyy undercooked, almost looked raw. The flounder pasta dish had no flavor and the fish was also undercooked, and the stuffed shrimp was actually a crab cake with four shrimp stuffed in it. Sounded good when the server explained it to me, but it had absolutely no flavor and was an extremely small portion. Our appetizer was bigger than the actual stuffed shrimp entree. If you’re hungry I definitely wouldn’t recommend ordering that dish. Two of us got mashed potatoes as our side and they were super dry, and the other person got seasoned rice that looked like it had been sitting in a pan since the time they opened. We were all disappointed. We were looking forward to our dinners. Kinda sad that the best part of our $25-$30 seafood dinners were our salads that came with them. I will however say that our server was great. Didn’t catch her name. Very attentive and knew the menu. Host was also very nice. I am also a server and have been for 14 years, I understand that our server doesn’t make the food and this was out of her control. 10/10 on the service and customer service, 2/10 for the food. We had to take our food with us and finish cooking it when we got home. I hate complaining and being “that person” . It takes a really bad experience for me to write a bad review, because I understand being understaffed and how the restaurant industry goes. I just wanted to make management aware of this so hopefully they can try to fix this issue. Extremely disappointing for spending around...
Read moreYour hostess, Gloria, working does not want to do her job and should not be employed at all, very rude and lies to people when calling she would rather sit and play on her phone, with the volume all the way up. We had to get seated by a waitress after the bartender told them, she was too busy talking to the one group in the restaurant. The waitress only wants to take care of one table at a time and never introduced herself. While waiting 20 minutes to have soup brought out while watching a table that came in 10 minutes after us get their salads in 2 minutes. We got to listen to Gloria answer the phone twice with an attitude before answering then when asked to take a to go order she told them that they would need to call back we're not doing that yet and that the restaurant is busy and not ready, there was only my party and one other, the restaurant is empty! Service is very slow and all food didn't come out at once, very awkward having one person eating while the rest are watching. Then we hear the waitress telling another waitress that came in she closed the dining room doors because it's too busy... TWO TABLES is TOO BUSY! Gloria answered another call after waiting til the last ring to then slam it on the receiver. All 3 of the bacon cheddar burgers were missing the bacon. The other table had to send the steak special back THREE TIMES due to it being completely raw in the center and they only offered to take the coffee off the bill for the inconvenience, they told her to return it because they can't eat it and they don't want it. There ended up being women yelling outside and Gloria ran off to watch and everyone else left the phone ring without answering, multiple calls. The business is probably only surviving off the bar and the bartenders because the waitress and hostess are horrible and do not care! The owner would be better off closing the dining room and expand the bar. Overall it's not worth going here for anything but the bar, food isn't good, service is horrible and staff...
Read moreI recently dined at Gregory's and it left me with a sour taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. The establishment had a daily special advertised at one price, but when the check arrived, I was charged a different amount. This discrepancy in pricing was already a red flag for me.
Things took a turn for the worse when my filet, part of the aforementioned special, arrived with an unexpected surprise—a large piece of plastic hidden underneath. Shocked and dismayed, I immediately brought this to the attention of our waitress, who seemed equally appalled. She mentioned that she needed to show it to the chef and took the plate away.
To my disbelief, the same plate with the plastic-laden filet returned to our table. The waitress offered to make me a new one, but by this point, nearly an hour had passed, and everyone else in my party was already halfway through their meals. The timing of the replacement left much to be desired.
As if the plastic incident wasn't enough, when the check finally arrived, I expected some acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. However, to my disappointment, the restaurant refused to provide any discount for the filet with plastic served on it. After asking to speak to the manager (which never happened ) the waitress gave us 6 dollars off an said after all you ate it? This lack of accountability and customer service was the final straw in what turned out to be an overall unsatisfactory dining experience.
While I appreciate the effort to rectify the situation with a replacement, the entire episode left me questioning the restaurant's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. I would caution others considering dining at this establishment, especially if they value transparency in pricing and expect a higher level of service when faced with...
