Shen's Sushi & Ramen House — Restaurant in Somers Point

I got the teriyaki chicken bento combo. The garden salad’s dressing was very good. The harumaki (deep fried vegetable roll) was amazing. The spicy crab rolls were good, there were only six but they were good sizes. I didn’t really care for the fried rice, I would probably try the white rice if I went again. The chicken, veggies and teriyaki sauce were okay. The price is good for the amount you get. After the salad, sushi rolls, deep fried vegetable roll and couple of bites of the chicken teriyaki and rice I was stuffed. Enough left over for another meal. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way for the chicken teriyaki but since it’s in town I might get it again if I don’t feel like going out of town. This is my fourth time enjoying a meal at Jing’s. The staff is always helpful and offer welcome hospitality whether I’m there for take out or sit in.

The sushi rolls are well made and well flavored. The low sodium soy sauce is most definitely appreciated by any with sensitivity to salt or high blood pressure.

I recommend the specials with the 3/4/5 rolls but you’d enjoy any items they offer.

I routinely pick any of the regular eel roles, yellowtail and tuna spicy rolls. Their poke bowls are fantastic and I’ve even eaten them the next day with no complaints.

They have soup with udon, soba and (I’m blanking out on the other noodle type).

They have their own parking lot with limited spaces. But, you can usually find space to park.

While the service from the lady who greeted me was pleasant and respectful, unfortunately, the quality of the food at this establishment fell short of expectations. Despite the warm welcome and the food presentation, both the spider roll and spicy crab meat roll I ordered had a noticeable, unpleasant odor, and their flavors were unappetizing, especially the cream cheese in the spicy crab roll. Additionally, the eel in the spider roll had an unpleasant odor and smelled rotten. It’s unfortunate and maybe it was a one time thing for them but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat there again because I can’t trust the quality...
