Manco and Manco - Somers Point — Restaurant in Somers Point

We have been getting pizza from this Manco for a couple of years. And like all Mancos it has been delicious and they all taste the same because of the great prep at all the Mancos. However the past month the pizza has not been the same. The first week we figured just a bad night and continued to get them up until last week. The problem is for some reason too much cheese has been put on and not enough sauce. The pizza has been so heavy to eat where it was always light. Last week was the worse of them all. I had to order extra sauce because there hasn't been enough like I said previously. They put the extra sauce on and so much cheese it was inedible. Some pieces had cheese that was bunched up on them and we had to try to spread it out to make it even. We're not sure if they changed cooks or what the problem is. We drive from Ventnor to get the pizza. While on the boardwalk we had Mancos pizza and it was the same as always delicious. So after giving the Somers Point Mancos 4 chances this week we stopped taking the ride and are now ordering from a local pizza place which is also delicious. A friend who moved out of town came to visit last night and said they had gotten a Mancos pizza from Somers point and he too said how disappointed he was. Hopefully they get things straightend out and we could go back to having our favorite Friday night Pizza. If not our 2nd choice was...

GLASS/PLASTIC SHARD IN OUR PIZZA

We have always loved Manco and Manco, literally for years- however this year, not so much. We picked up a pizza that was raw in the center and the cheese wasn’t even melted. We were so hungry (we just got to the beach house) that we finished cooking our slices in the oven and ate 3/4 of it, which I disclosed when I called them- it was definitely pulled from the pizza oven too soon. I have to give credit where credit is due, when I called to tell them about it they apologized and gave me a full credit for the same amount of the raw pizza. So this brings me to today- we picked up our “free” pizza and I found a piece of glass or plastic in it! The small shard cut my gums and that’s how I discovered it. I called them immediately and said, “I don’t want another credit or pizza- I just need you to know that some glass or plastic was IN OUR PIZZA. Please check the containers around the cooking area.”We have a four year old who was eating a slice and it could have been her. The guy I spoke to could not have cared LESS. He literally mumbled his name, so I don’t know who I spoke to- and went on to mumble, “sorry about that, yeah I can go check.” And that was it. I’m mad because what if it was my child?!? Also my bottom jaw gums hurt. We’re done with Manco and Manco, so is the rest...

I have done nothing but hear about this place from friends since I moved to Delaware ( mostly about board walk). Coming from Delaware we don't have one right around the corner, but happen to be in Somer Point when All Action Water Sports recommended this place. I was a little unsure when seeing it was in a shopping center, but went anyways to dispel any thought this place was the best. Well, I left the place eating my words after I ate my pizza ( 6 slices to be exact). This places was so good that we go a pep pizza to eat there, then ordered 2 pies to bring home and eat later. We are now planning our beach trips in NJ just so we can get more of Manco and Manco. To make things even better, their wings were banging and something near and dear to my family's heart, they give you option on extra sauce sizes... We love dipping out pizza in HOT SAUCE! Best pizza...
