Update: I dont want to give this place a bad rap because I've had their other styles of pizza here, and they've been great! My 1 star review is only for the Portnoy thin crust, which was just not right. Ordered the Portnoy thin crust. The pizza was horrible! It tasted like your everyday local chain plain pizza. Not to mention, the crust was from the prior day because it was stale and the crust falling apart when you ate it like it was chaulkey. It was not fresh dough and not worth $19. It honestly tasted like they gave me a plain pie that was sitting out for walk-ins that they didn't sell, so they threw in the oven for a couple of minutes and then sold it to me. This will be the last time I come here. Their food is always hit or miss. I only came here because my typical spot Delucias was a 3 hour wait and wanted to give the Portnoy pizza a shot because it was rated an 8.1. My best guess is they made a special pizza just for him because they will never recreate it for anyone else! I guess I'll have to wait to get a good pizza at Delucias! IL Forno in Raritan even has a better pizza than this! I'm highly disappointed!! I would have eaten the whole pie if it was good. I had to at least fill my stomach because i was not going to buy another meal! I'll tell you where the rest of the pizza is going! Take a good frekin guess!!! Disgraceful to Portnoys name!
Update: Yes, I ordered a well done pizza. I order well done pies all the time. I go around the state of NJ trying multiple different pizza spots, and never have I've bitten into the crust, and it's chaulkey and breaks off like a...
Read moreThere are two entrances for this location so be aware when using your GPS. Parking can be a little tricky depending upon what time you arrive. The place is busy and they seem to know everyone's name when they come through the doors and are willing to talk about whatever is on your mind. The owner is very nice and understands the importance of good customer service, which sometimes is half the battle. I called in my order ahead and asked for recommendations on the phone. Was more than willing to talk Pizza on the phone. My order was ready upon arrival and was greated nicely and was told Thank You for my order upon payment. (You would be surprised how often this is not the case). I ordered a Margarita Pizza and it was fantastic. The Sauce is the first thing that speaks to you with the Pizza. A really tasty sauce that brings you back for more. The Cheese was fresh and went really well with the pizza. The Crust was good, not amazing in comparison to other Margarita Pizzas from around the tri state. But still very good, hence the 5 star rating. This is a fantastic Pizzeria that will be ranked for sure on the new Pizza Hunters App upon release in 2021. They will make any Pizza you can imagine, so put this place on your Pizza Hunters List this winter. Great Job Prima Pizza Kitchen. See...
Read moreWent to prima pizza a few times food is good quality, But all they care about is your money if you go here I recommend paying with card, because when you respectfully pay here with cash they will take advantage of you all the times I payed here with cash they never give me back the correct about of change. Also the staff here is very unprofessional like I heard the black guy with the tattoos that works there talk to the other staff in front of customers about his personal life, about how he is lazy, and about how he sleeps to 3 in the afternoon and smokes weed, very unprofessional behavior to talk like that in front of the customers for such a high priced pizzeria. Also the owner at this place has two wives maybe more Just shows how corrupt this place is or maybe extremely good customer service lol. Go ahead Jerry tell me off like a child, not a 48 year old man, you badass flag football player be my guest, and...
