This review is solely based on a takeout experience… so don’t want to takeaway from what the in person experience might be. I honestly do not know who put together this order, but it was rushed and not catered exemplary , as a result the bag tore and the lid was completely broken upon arrival which made the food taste nothing but iced black sesame, which I wasn’t mad about. Although paying near 7$ for it not to be in my cup. Then again, I ordered 7 items. Totaling out around 90$
So you already know I can’t rate the coffee. However everything else was great! People were not lying when they said to check out Tatte’s! For the size of the butter pecan cookie, I see the vision and why it is a $1. So I can’t be mad lol. However they were decent and appeasing to my mom and brother. I was enlightened to try muesli not knowing what the heck it was, did some research basically packed with whole grains, nuts, and seeds. They actually added yogurt in theirs. It was toasty, nutty, chewy, and truly satisfying. I would like to def customize one in the future
This potato mushroom and bacon Shakshuka is not the traditional one. This was definitely out of LEFT FIELD. But I loved every bit of this dish. The rich potato paste complemented by a medley of ingredients including baby spinach, shiitake and button mushrooms, and a perfectly poached egg. Normally not a bacon dude but super savory and meshed well with all the ingredients. I know this dish would go crazy with sweet potatoes as opposed to the regular potato however it’s fuego.
My bro had the lamb kebob, it did not disappoint. Marinating is always KEY in making ANY LAMB KEBOB. This checked all boxes
My mom got the tomato soup + chicken salad sandwich. Classic. Texture is sooo important in regards to enjoying any type of tomato soup and adding other Parmesan or heavy cream makes it satisfying. It was cool for chain made tomato soup nothing special on my end. But my mom liked it. The chicken sandwich was cool. I love a loaded one , no diddy. So this satisfying the tastes buds creating an awesome profile.
Again I had high expectations for not only my meal but the coffee from this well-known chain, especially given the anticipation leading up to the order. Unfortunately, it was marred by deliverance that detracted from the overall enjoyment of the food.
While I understand that mistakes can happen during a delivery, the level of care taken with my order seemed lacking. I encountered broken lids, which resulted in spills, and the careless arrangement of items led to soggy food. As a result, I was unable to fully enjoy the meal.
Given that I spent over $90 on this order, I had hoped for a more satisfying experience. I appreciate the effort that goes into preparing and delivering food, but it’s crucial that the final presentation meets...
Read moreI do not usually post these sort of things, but it has to be said because of the experiences that I have had at this particular location recently. This past weekend, I went to Tatte and ordered my usual ice chai latte. Upon drinking it, I quickly discovered that there was coffee in the chai latte which is not how it’s supposed to be made. I then, as I would usually do in this situation, went to the barista stand and respectfully let one of the baristas know about the issue. She was just about fix the drink when this other barista rudely interjected falsely stating that I must have grabbed the wrong drink, which I did not. The drink was simply made wrong and it was clear she was the one who made it wrong. This was not my first time dealing with this particular barista, she’s very rude and unprofessional and immature. I 100% understand the stressful nature of working in the service industry, but if I am calmly and politely coming up to you and letting you know that my drink is made wrong all I expect is that you acknowledge what I’m saying, and perhaps provide a solution. Instead she immediately became defensive and dismissive. I had to get the manager involved and she even went back and forth with the manager. This experience is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. As someone who gives them business frequently, this is NOT OK!
Fast forward to today, I go to get my usual iced chai latte. She was there. This time I was the only one in the line, she saw me when I came in, and proceeded when I went over to the barista stand to pretend that she was organizing syrups in an attempt to delay making my drink. The barista who rang me up, saw what was going on and came over and made my drink. The other barista with the bad attitude, then proceeded to chastise me by waving in a very condescending manner. This behavior is extremely immature and unprofessional, and it is a true shame she is not talked about this.
I do not know what this barista has against me, I do not know what I have done wrong to this individual in particular…I literally go in order my drink and leave. I am never rude, even if my drink is made wrong. It is not ok that I am now being...
Read moreI’ve been in the area for about four weeks and have visited this bakery six times so far. Since there aren’t many coffee shops around, I chose this one because the coffee is really good, and they have a wide variety of baked goods. The quality of what they offer is great, but the service is honestly terrible.
I’ve had three bad experiences with the staff, and while I don’t want to generalize, I’ve noticed they can be rude, especially toward tourists.
The first time, I ordered an Americano for here. When the barista handed it to me, she accidentally spilled some but acted like nothing happened. I saw it and pointed it out, asking her to put it in a paper cup instead. She did, but while pouring, she spilled it again. This time, she completely ignored it and just walked away to continue her work. Since it was my first visit, I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, so I let it go.
The second time, I was waiting at the counter to order, and the cashier acted like I wasn’t even there. She attended to other customers, and when it was my turn, she just walked away without saying anything. Since I was new to the place, I didn’t know if I was supposed to order from somewhere else or just wait. Thankfully, a kind staff member wearing a headband noticed and took my order.
The third time, after getting my coffee, I went to check out the baked goods. There was an item without a label, so I asked the staff member what it was. She looked really annoyed, like she didn’t want to bother answering, which made me feel uncomfortable. I didn’t want to deal with that attitude, so I just skipped ordering anything and settled for my coffee.
I get that working long hours can be tiring, and I’m not expecting them to be overly friendly. But at the very least, basic customer service should be there. A simple acknowledgment, answering a quick question, or handling an order properly isn’t too much to ask.
The coffee and baked goods are genuinely good, but the service takes away from the experience. If the staff were more welcoming, this place could be...
