A Heartfelt Thank You to Lorena and the Incredible Staff at Rowan!

After two failed ear-piercing attempts at another location, I was heartbroken and nervous to try again for my daughter. As a first-time mom, this was an experience I never wanted to repeat, let alone go through a third time. But I’m so grateful we found Lorena at Rowan, because she completely turned everything around for us.

Lorena was absolutely amazing. Gentle, professional, and incredibly kind, she re-pierced my daughter’s ears perfectly and painlessly. Her warmth and attention to detail put both me and my daughter at ease. The staff even gave us a special bravery certificate, such a thoughtful gesture I’ll be keeping in my daughter’s scrapbook forever.

They also provided thorough aftercare instructions and treatment, and I can’t emphasize enough how different and positive this experience was compared to the first two. I left not only with tears of relief, but with so much gratitude. My daughter looks beautiful, and most importantly her earrings are finally in the correct position. She looks beautiful and is so happy!

I took my 5 year old for her first piercings and Kelly and Lorena were really professional and empathetic.

When Kelly went to evaluated my daughter's ears, she noticed an eczema outbreak on the back of my daughter's earlobe. She was very honest and said "I could easily take your money and pierce her ears but I do not feel comfortable." She explained that if she pierced my daughter's ears while she was having a flare up with an open wound, my daughter would likely end up having a bad experience with healing and she did not feel comfortable piercing my daughter's ears. She brought Lorena over for a second opinion and Lorena agreed. Lorena also explained that in order to avoid the area where the flare up was, they could move the piercing location but it would not look cute and she did not recommend it or did not feel comfortable moving forward. My daughter and I were certainly disappointed but as a parent, I felt very comforted knowing that they were putting my daughter first and not the business. I took my 7-year-old daughter here to get her ears pierced, and I’m so glad I did. Nurse Kyana was amazing and had just the right calm energy that my daughter needed. She took her time getting the placement just right and asked my help and feedback. She also recommended a longer post for my daughter due to the thickness of her lobes. The piercing was quick, steady, and easy, and my very sensitive daughter didn’t even shed a tear - just a big smile when she was done. But beyond all that, I am blown away by the fact that she has had absolutely zero discomfort in the week since her piercing. After a small bit of redness immediately following the piercing, she has had no redness, swelling, or pain at all. She slept comfortably on her side that very evening and has happily been spraying and turning her earrings since. This was not my experience with my own piercings many years ago!
