When the playground first opened, it was a pleasure to visit it even though it was relatively small for a community area like Assembly Row. Over time, we noticed that it wasn’t maintained and the litter in the small play area is glaringly visible … so memorable that my grandkids who visit me asked, “Are we going to the dirty playground?” I also met a young dad with his toddler having breakfast at the playground and I felt sad for them. He said his child attends a daycare nearby and since breakfast is not included, he gives his child breakfast while his child plays. It’s just sad when kids have to play in a littered...
