It's a nice place to go see local bands play. The food is pretty good, there's a decent selection of beers and ciders, and friendly staff. However there is one blemish on an otherwise quality establishment. The sound guy is a disgrace. He is constantly taking smoke breaks mid set, and clearly could not care less about his job. He adjusts the mics for the first band, and then does absolutely nothing for the rest of the night. One evening the opener was a loud and heavy rock band, so the mics were set pretty low, and as a result, every other singer for the rest of the setlist was entirely inaudible. He did nothing. On two separate occasions, mics have cut out and folks have had to go outside to try to find him to get him to come back inside to fix them. In the event that this place has multiple sound guys, the one I'm calling out is a small man with short bleached hair. Fire him, and this venue is a 5 star go-to for local music. Until then, its a 3 star...
Read moreWent for Toddler Dance Party which is a pretty cool idea. The kids jump around and play with balloons while kids music plays, parents can get drinks and food. Main issue is with the food. Most people going to this event are going to want to knock out dinner while there but I don’t think they’re set up to prepare food in anything like a timely fashion...it’s mostly a drinking and music venue. So it took forever to get food to the point where the event was almost over.
Also, ordered the falafel date Caesar salad and it came without falafel or dates or an explanation. When I asked, they provided some dates but said they were out of falafel. We were charged the full amount up front and frankly felt pretty cheated on this one.
Will say that The Caesar salad did use quality greens and had a nice dressing.
Edit: do appreciate the below response from the owner and will give this event another try...
Read moreA wonderful intimate venue, ideal for seeing your favorite artist! I've only been there once, so IDK if they set it up differently on different occasions, but the way they had it set up when my friends & I went was: an open area in front of the stage to dance, rows of chairs through the middle of the room, and bar seating in the back. The side of the room has a ledge that people can sit on, which was perfect for us because we were a fairly large group (~10 of us I believe) and we wanted to sit at times but also get up and dance at times, so we weren't talking away seats from people that wanted to sit the whole time. They have a great sounds system, a well stocked bar and the staff we encountered were all very nice. My experience only reflects one visit there, but from what I've seen I highly recommend this lovely...
