After a long day of moving our son in to his dorm, we went to O’Rourke’s to eat. We walked in at 9 PM. They close at 10. We asked if they were still serving food. The hostess said absolutely we usually go past 10 most nights. They sat us outside in the complete dark. We had to use our phone lights to read the menu. They had three different waitresses outside, waiting tables. None of them ever stopped to get our order. My husband went to the hostess and asked if we could get water. She said that she was trying to get someone to come to our table but that they wouldn’t. She went to go speak to the waitress again and she said to tell us that it would be at least 30 minutes for us to get food. She wasn’t sure why, but she thought the kitchen may be backed up. My husband came back to the table and we waited for another 20 minutes. The hostess came back again and asked if anybody had come to take her order, we told her no. About 10 minutes later, a waitress comes at the table and says it’s going to be 45 minutes before you can get any food. I said well why don’t you take our orders and let’s see. She said I’m just telling you it’s going to be a long time. Again, I said why don’t you take our order and we will start the time now. For some reason she did not want to take our order I suspect they were wanting to leave for the night. She continued to convince us with her attitude that we should leave. We decided if that was what the service was going to be. It was best that we leave. It was now 10:30 and we needed to go find a restaurant that would serve us. The sweet little hostess was in disbelief, she didn’t understand why the waitress was acting that way. Worst treatment we have ever received by a server at...
Read moreWe got to this restaurant with 8 people at a rather busy hour with no reservation, so we didn't expect to be seated or eat right away. After almost an hour of waiting, we were finally seated... At a 6 person table. We waited 20 minutes for them to ask for drinks, and we ended up ordering at the same time. Fast forward an hour and a half, nobody has gotten their food yet. It took them over two hours since we sat down for 6 of us to get our food. Whilst the rest of us were eating, 2 people, who had ordered wraps (one of which was vegetarian), were still waiting on their food. Upon asking the waitstaff where the wraps were, we were told "they'll be out soon, we were waiting for fresh chicken." It took them a total of almost 2.5 hours from when we sat down for someone to get a vegetarian wrap without any chicken, because they were waiting for fresh chicken. After waiting for over 2 hours for food, you'd think it would at least be good, but sadly, it was sub-par. On one of the cheeseburgers we ordered, half of the cheese was melted whilst the other half was solid. The fries unexpectedly were spicy, whilst the sweet potato fries had cinnamon and sugar on them. The burger buns weren't fully thawed, and we're partially still frozen. All in all, it was not a very pleasant experience. If you're looking to come here with a large group of people, definitely remember to make a...
Read moreI had the worst experience I’ve had in all my life in any establishment. Went in sat at the bar and couldn’t see the tvs well. Ask the the bartender if we could move back to a high table and he said no problem take any table that’s open. We were sitting having our drinks that just came out and a young man came to us and said we could not sit there ! I ask why and that the bartender said no problem. He said that they might need that table later that night. It was 4:30 pm and at least two thirds of the tables were empty. He said we would have to go back to the bar or leave !! I went to the bartender and he said he was sorry but there was nothing he could do. Now I get that there might have been a misunderstanding but we were offered no alternative but to go to the bar or leave ! Are you kidding me ??? So we left our drinks and food and left. Yes we paid for everything before we left but I have never been treated with so much disrespect ever. When we left I told the hostess what happened what happened she shrugged her shoulders and said sorry with a smirk. Never again but the sad thing is they probably just don’t care at all. I’m sure they had a chuckle after...
