We (2) called and were told no reservations, we arrived and there was no table ready, so we were told by Michael whom we spoke to over the phone, that itāll take 20 minutes, 30 minutes have passed, and nothing happened and he came and apologized as he should, so a party of 6-7 people have come in through the door, and there was a table being checked out and cleaned, that can take 4-6 people, so he came in and said they called before, and that was about 45 minutes standing at the door, despite being told itās going to be 20, which is ok, this happens, but what never happens anywhere else in the world! Is when people say thereās no reservation and because they care much more about money than courtesy or etiquette, he could have shown real sincere apologies! But he didnāt care! And make no mistake after 45-50 grueling minutes of waiting standing, with masks on! Lo and behold the time came and that table was free and make no mistake he escorted them to that very table that was supposed to be ours,
And we didnāt say much and about 10 minutes later, he came in and asked us to sit by the corner on 2 chairs :)!!! Waiting till a table is free, and when expressed concern, he said āIām afraid I feel I shouldnāt serve youā,,,, what?!!! And when I inquired why?! He said ābecause youāre angryā,,, and when I demurred, because you were crass and rude to us,, and told him that unfortunately itās our anniversary, he said something to the tune of not under his control when we all know it was just that!! And he said that either sit on those chairs or āI am gonna have to ask you to leaveā,,, and this is when my wife told me to leave because he was so rude to us, and said something to the tune of, and Iām paraphrasing, regardless anniversary or not, it is what it is!!!!!!!
You be the judge!!! And we left after ruining our evening, almost asked to leave by Michael because he was simply unable to manage the situation!!
Never coming back, and you managed to earn the worst review we have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I thought we would start our weekend with drinks and food at Corkscrew. We sat at the bar and were quickly given menus. We picked drinks and decided on a charcuterie board and then we waited and waited and waited for someone to take our order. The bartenders were busy making drinks and one woman appeared to be the waitress for all the customers not seated at the bar. The woman who had given us our menus was rolling silverware into napkins. She would not make eye contact with us, so my husband finally had to say "miss" loudly to get her attention. She came over but there were no apologies for our wait, she just said "yea.". We gave her our drink orders but she turned around before we could tell her our food order. We will say the drinks the bartender made were excellent, so the review stars go to him! The woman never came back to see if we wanted another drink, did we want food, etc. She went back to rolling napkins. We waited and waited with credit card in hand for the bill but again she wouldn't make eye contact. So, again we had to get her attention. The atmosphere is great, the drinks are great, but unfortunately the attitude of our server made it a bad experience sitting at the bar. I will say the young woman taking care of close to 30 people not sitting at the bar was working her tail off and deserves a raise! We understand establishments are short staffed these days and wait times are to be expected but when you are blatantly ignored by a server, who could have looked up every once in while from rolling napkins, it makes you feel they don't appreciate their customers. We left and ended up restarting our weekend at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood was subpar but that should be ok since itās basically a wine bar, but rude staff was the highlight of our trip!
Their attitude was nothing weāve seen anywhere else before! Like looking for an opportunity to upset their clients, and wouldnāt even try to talk about what our complaints, iām a nutshell our grievances about how we were mistreated fell on deaf ears!
Not sure we would ever come back! Last but not least, they need to know thereās a virus ravishing the country and people have to be very careful in this place because they are way too lenient with their clients who donāt respect covid-19 rules of masking while waiting or walking in the restaurant to the bathroom! Some of the staff had their masks half way down talking to us!
The only bad thing was that wine tasted good but everything else about this place had a real bad after taste to it (No pun intended),
sorry but you lost 7 of your first...
