We were dining in downtown Rock Hill when someone recommended we visit Kingsley. There are lots of places to dine here & what appeared to be a nice size brewery or two.
There is also a Starbucks. I would probably request a local Carolina coffee place go up here if I were in charge.
I also noticed they have an Epic Chophouse, we will have to try that the next time we come to Rock Hill.
I tried to capture some of the history of this place. The mill even hosted a visit from Princess Grace and her husband of Monaco when it was making fabrics. I love those interesting historical aspects of these older places that have been converted to shops and restaurants.
There is a pond at Kingsley Town Center to take a āstrollāaround. Be careful not to wander on to the property of the office building next door. We kind of did and there was a security guard that was polite about it. However, there are signs that itās private property!
I did notice one womenās clothing boutique nearby the Spice restaurant but they were closed. Darn! Would like to go back again during business hours. Iāve often wondered why some boutiques donāt stay open a bit later on Friday and Saturday nights- people could wander in and buy after eating and drinking. There is money to be made there.
And thereās a hotel on the old mill property which could be useful for people who want to stay the night in the area. Iām guessing the office building sharing the property have their out of town business travelers stay there. So call or book ahead! This isnāt too far from Charlotte. Choice...

The parking is such a terrible situation that I was sat in the restaurant while my husband drove around for 30 minutes looking for parking. We ended up leaving to have dinner elsewhere despite having a reservation. I can't believe there wasn't valet for the restaurant, but then again, where the hell would or could valet park cars? This place is poorly thought out. I feel bad for anyone living at the apartments or booking to stay at the hotel. Next time we'll just head uptown. It will be easier to...

I've witnessed drunken, disorderly behavior, people pulling out their handguns, etc. I don't want to make it seem like this is in a bad neighborhood because it is not. I would just be aware that there are a lot of bars, a lot of chances to drink alcohol and a lot of people who make poor decisions.
Overall, this is a beautiful place to visit, especially during the warm months. There's outdoor seating. There's a large pond with ducks and the scenery is very nice...
