One star for the drinks and service from the waitress. She was kind. Food was awful. I'm not sure what the aim is here in regards to an ethnic food group? If it's Mexican no way. There was one taco that was inedible. Chorizo. The "chorizo" was grey. The flavor profile was way off and it was literally inedible. The fish taco, well, the breading was so wet that it came right off of the fish. Two bites and had enough. Taking a line from another persons review on here about the carne asada taco. It was "passable". The corn was just not authentic of what one would consider authentic having tasted true Mexican "street corn". Again not sure what the aim is here. The rice. I truly have no words. It tasted like boxed rice with overpowering spices in it such as anise. This was also inedible. Tuna tostadas. Hmm. Interesting. The slaw was not fresh. You could smell the lack of freshness. People who know food will understand this. Im not sure who they have cooking here or how some people think this food is anywhere close to good. Throws ya off cause you walk in. Music is Latin (bachata, reggaeton, salsa, etc) the drink is good so you think the food is going to be at the very least OKAY. nope. :(. Maybe because I am truly Latin (Italian and Spanish) I understand flavors and authentic cuisine? Also when told the one meal was inedible the manager gave 12 dollars off of the 15 dollar price for the "taco plate". That's a true disgrace and just made the whole experience that much more worse. It's the principle but then when you do something like that you're adding insult to injury. Instead of giving back 12 instead of 15 I would have rather you eat the whole plate of grey chorizo meat and spiced rice! You probably couldn't do it either. Hire a better cook!!! Also if you're going to represent a Latin community perhaps you should be better versed in the cuisine!!!!!! I do not...

Decent food but worst service I've experienced in this area. We dined in on a Saturday. Waited 30 min for a table, no big deal. Only to walk in and the restaurant was barely half full. We were seated near the kitchen/pickup area, it was almost 10 min before the server came to greet us. Ordered drinks those came right out. Another 15 or so min passed before we see server again to place order. The restaurant is actually emptying out at this point so we are looking around as to what's going on.

Server shows up with nachos. We don't let server leave until order is placed and politely ask for straws. Nachos were good, we actually finish that before food shows up all the while noticing that a couple of tables had been seated after us and had already gotten drinks, silver ware and placed orders.Hmmm been here over 40 min with no silverware... Grabbed the next server running by for that. Food came out pretty quick I guess because we were right next to kitchen... We eat and enjoy then wait for water refill, and wait some more, then some more. We see server near the bar and flag them down to get water and let them know we want a to go order for kids. Order is placed good comes right out and we are ready to go but no bill yet.

We spend some time stacking dishes and playing on phones because at this point we have been here almost 2 hrs. We have identified where the restroom is again due to be seated by kitchen, recognized another server as the son of a church member and seen about 5 to go orders come flying by. Played a few rounds of words with friends on phones. I actually stood up and put my coat on and debated walking out since it was getting so late. Server comes up as I'm standing there and ask if we're...

My wife and I went here for dinner recently on a Friday night. We had made reservations but got there about 30 min early and figured we would just grab a drink at the bar. We we entered the restaurant we were not greeted by the 3 ladies on staff who just stared at us. We informed them that we had a reservation and knew that we were early and we seem to have confused them. While we waited we got a drink at the bar which was very good. After waiting for 30 minutes or so we looked around seeing a few tables available and my wife went back up and found out they were waiting because they didn't want to seat a party of two on the patio even though there were tables for two people, not really sure what was going on there. Besides the confusion we had a great time, our server was very friendly, and our food came out quick was hot and delicious. My wife got the burrito which was massive and allowed me to try it as well. I got the three tacos plate with rice and beans and was very pleased. I ordered the Pork Carnitas, the Carne Asada, and the Crispy Fish Taco. Of the three my favorite was probably the fish taco. I did receive the chicken tinga as well by mistake and I wasn't really impressed with it. My only complaint if you could call it that is that there's so much filling in the tacos that the corn tortilla seem to break apart it would almost be better if that was a double tortilla. Overall we had a great experience and we will definitely...

I’m not quite sure how this is rated so high. I came in for a late lunch and got the street corn with the two carne Asada taco combo. These taste nothing like real tacos. The street corn came out first and it looked okay, but this was far from street corn. It was esquites rather than on the cob. As someone who often eats street corn from street vendors, the corn should have some butter, creama, cheese and chili powder. This is more like bad esquites, but it only had a drop of cream and a handful of cheese. The corn itself was also disappointing it wasn’t freshly cooked, it was like it was from a can, frozen, then reheated. It didn’t have that good pop that fresh corn has. The tacos came out, 1 tortilla each that was waaay undercooked so you know it wasn’t going to hold up and tasted more like raw masa than a freshly cooked tortilla. The Asada was passable, but there was no cilantro to be found and the onion was cut and displayed for looks instead of diced for function. I asked the waitress for some chili to put on my taco and she didn’t know what I was talking about. She ended up bringing me a bowl of salsa which I guess is okay, but come on. No chili for your tacos? The refried beans were also interesting, they were whole beans still? They just had a layer of cheese over them. The rice was also weird, and had more of a zatarans flavor than Mexican red rice flavor. Staff was friendly so they get 2 stars instead of 1.

The building for this restaurant looks very high end, but walking inside, you can see that it is not a match with neighboring restaurants. The server we had was nice, but had us a bit worried from the start with questions like, so you really want the beans and rice. Looking around, it looked like very few of the tables we actually eating anything but the chips and drinking alcoholic beverages. Note that unlike most Mexican restaurants, you do not get nachos included with your meal, they are an appetizer, and a bit expensive too. My wife got a mix of the tacos while I got the burrito. Of the tacos, we thought the carne asada was the best, the pork and fish were rather flavorless and the spices used didn't match up with the meat. The burrito was okay but had some interesting untypical spices, that seemed to leave an unpleasant after taste. The beans were quite spicy, both the black and pinto. The rice was the worst part, which tasted like stale rice-a-roni, and was super dry. If your visit to this place is to chat over overly nachos, then this is probably your place.
