Brixx Wood Fired Pizza + Craft Bar — Restaurant in South Carolina

𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐱𝐱 𝐏𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐚 - 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥, 𝐒𝐂 I am a pizza guy. I love pizza. I have had the luxury to try pizza all over the country. We are staying with family in this lovely town and they suggested pizza so she ordered from Brixx - notably made from scratch wood fired pizza. My thoughts are below. As an experienced traveler, having explored 68 countries and 36 states, I approach restaurant reviews with clear criteria: Taste, Presentation, and Service. My goal is to provide an unbiased perspective, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses. I understand the there are different levels of pizza. I realize not all pizza can be top grade homemade ingredients. The easiest way that I can describe what we had was Cicis Pizza buffet pizza but triple the price We paid $73.48 for three pies. Interestingly, their website doesn't specify pizza sizes. Why? Because the pizzas are just 11 inches, if you're lucky. When we received our pizza, it was lukewarm at best. It reminded me of Cici's: dry, overcooked pizza kept under warming lamps, just hot enough to be edible. Considering the high price, I expected a thicker crust. Instead, it was barely thicker than the cardboard you get with a frozen pizza. The toppings were neither plentiful nor fresh. The website portrays the toppings as fresh and appetizing, but that was not the case in reality. We opted for takeout, so we didn't experience the restaurant's ambiance or other foods. Let me start by saying we LOVE Brixx. It's our go to place back home. We always get the best service. The best food. The best selection of craft beers, however upon entering brixx in fort Mill we were greeted by a semi friendly bartender. She seemed a little bothered by us coming in though it wasn't close to closing yet. Then when we sat down she told us about the featured beer, and the selection was ok. I feel like the one in Myrtle Beach is more diverse, but that could be because there aren't as many local craft breweries. Here's where we got frustrated. We order our beers, she asks if we'd like food. I said yes please. She informed us they only serve pizza after ten but they are BOGO. We were aware of the BOGO, but not that they stopped serving all other menu items (the wings are our favorite and why we came). We frequent Myrtle and we assumed it was just this location. No stress we ordered then sat enjoying our beers. Then about 15-20 mins later two gentlemen walk in and sit down the bar. We get our food as they're ordering. Not give minutes later she comes back with chips and dip, and then right after that...out comes an order of wings.....me and my husband were very unhappy. After that our bartender seemed very distracted though the bar was not very busy and she just wasn't very attentive. She seemed very distracted our entire experience.

I'm unsure if we'll return to this location again...maybe before ten so we can order off the whole menu since it seems we were the only ones not able to order anything but...

It’s rare to find someone so passionate about providing top-notch service, and Michaela certainly exceeded all expectations.

Her cheerful demeanor and professionalism turned a simple dinner into a delightful experience that I can’t wait to repeat. If you’re lucky enough to be served by Michaela, you’re in for a treat!
