This was our first experience with Highfalutin and I had high hopes for this place but it disappointed us. We placed an online order around 10:25am for a matcha latte and a regular latte. We arrived at 10:35 and we saw there was no designated spot for picking up online orders so we waited in line. We were in line for about 7 mins (it was busy which is not the problem for us), when we got to the front of the line we told the barista that we placed an online order ~18 mins ago. The barista went over to their online order printing machine and pulled our order off of it. We couldn’t believe our order was not even LOOKED at for almost 20 minutes!! We’ve both worked in food service so we understand when service is busy, but they had at least 4 staff taking/making orders so for our online order to not even have been taken off their printer for almost 20 mins is just unacceptable!

We then waited another 10 minutes for them to make our order. This means it took them almost 30 mins to just make two lattes. One of the baristas gave us a free muffin for the trouble, and although the muffin and drinks were tasty, we were still extremely disappointed with the service.

I hope the owner takes note and perhaps makes a spot designated for picking up mobile orders. I hope they also inform their staff to check on the online ordering printer more regularly. Honestly, they didn’t even have a separate spot from the cash register for regular in-house customers to pick up their drinks so they should create a spot for picking...

This coffee shop is easy to get to and has a good amount of parking. The outside patio is gorgeous! When we walked in we weren't greeted which was disappointing.

I love the detail on the coffee menu. The origin and processing method of the beans was cool to look at. I also really appreciate all of the house made items like the syrups and all of the pastries! House roasted beans are awesome. My cappuccino was perfectly balanced and had amazing mouthfeel.

The girl who took our order gave lackluster service. The service is what killed the 5 star rating. Everything else about this shop is amazing. Neither one of the baristas was particularly friendly or inviting and kind of killed the vibe the rest of the shop emits. Not even so much as a smile. When she wasn't taking orders she was sitting in a chair on her phone texting. It seems to be a common theme among the baristas when there aren't customers to just sit there and do nothing.

The pastry was great. The blueberry muffin is incredibly moist and has great texture and flavor. They also have a vegan muffin option as well. A lot of the food smells amazing here!

I hope the owner takes note of the waste...
