First off I'm going to say that this restaurant is a little more on the pricier side. But it is 100% absolutely worth it. The food is Simply Amazing. The atmosphere is relaxed but social and completely inviting. None of the people who work there that we came in contact with between the hostess, the bar, numerous water people, servers anyone cleaning was in any way rude or disrespectful they were all very kind welcoming and they gave above the bar service that is hard to find nowadays. It's nice to get away and be in a restaurant that is not full of screaming crazy children or obnoxious families. ( That's not to say children and families are not welcome there, its kust that they wrre well behaved and respectful!!!) It was the type of restaurant that I have not been in years and years and years where you just want to go and you want to sit down and you just want to savor your food and have deep conversations and enjoy some drinks nice and slowly and not necessarily leave quickly. It is really clean really well cared for and the staff has been trained impeccably. It is worth every single penny that we spent there for my husband and I to get away and enjoy some time together away from our five children and just be with each other. We went here on November 10th which was the Marine Corps birthday. My husband's a marine and they did have written Billboards wishing the Marines happy birthday so that's extra credit in my opinion. The service is quick efficient and they truly truly care if you are happy and satisfied. The waiters tell you the specials they tell you what kind of food it is they tell you how it's made they give you all the details it's an incredible service. They are very informed and take their job seriously. I usually get so many pictures of places but we were just so into this incredible meal that I didn't even get pictures of everything we got. I got the braised beef ribs and he got a cowboy cut steak. We also had a carmel yellow cake with ice cream that was absolutely fabulous. The food was real high quality meals that were not fried food you didn't feel like you were eating something that was unhealthy for you. It felt like you were eating home cooked meals made by a Top Chef We definitely ate too much and do not regret it at all and will be making this a regular place for us. There is a large crowd and the parking is a little bit tight because it is a very popular place, but it is popular for a really good reason. (The parking lot is huge, just a lit of cars!)When I saw the parking lot so full I was like maybe we should go somewhere else even though we had a reservation but I'm really happy that we chose not to because it was so worth it I don't think that there is a single bad thing that I can say about this place.

They have a big parking lot on the side and the back of the restaurant so you don't have to worry about parking space. We're in Pawsley Island for vacation and the restaurant is really close by. The place is easy to get crowded even on a weekday night so reservation is highly recommended. The dining area inside are cozy but the outdoor dining area looks very nice too. It's close to Halloween so the decor around the restaurant follows that theme. Good food and nice ambience. We had: - Fried oysters: it was okay. - Bahamian sautéed conch: the sauce of this dish is delicious but you won't taste the conch meat as much since it mixed too well with fried batter. - Grilled 6 Ounce Filet of Beef: the red wine sauce substitute is very good. - Fish of the day-pan seared flounder: very tender and tasty - Chocolate brownie and vanilla icecream for dessert: togo Our server is very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the menu. He had the bar mixed up a delicious mocktail for me, suggested a nice sauce to substitute with the sauce that go with the beef since my boyfriend doesn't like blue cheese. He also packed the leftover with special paper layer so it doesn't leak through the paper togo box. He also suggest the dessert for togo since we were too full but still want to try the dessert. All in all, we had a very good experience. We will definitely come back when we're in town the next time.

We had heard so much about Frank's that our expectations were high. It far exceeded them - what a fantastic experience. The free valet service wasn't needed as we arrived early and looked over the Outback part of the restaurant, which looked inviting. Our reservations were for inside and, as you can see in all the photos, it's very cool. Stylish. I have to mention the chairs which might be the most comfortable we've ever sat in. We'd like to replace ours at home with these! My wife had a Strawberry Fizz which she loved, and I had a Plane Crash which I liked better than hers. We had heard so much about the crab cakes that we started with the small plate crab cake as an appetizer. I've had a lot of highly rated ones and these were The Best. Light and crabby. Special sauce. Yummy. Dinners were Legacy Grouper (wow) and a daily special Flounder. As good as the Grouper was - and it was excellent- the flounder was even better. It should have a permanent place on the menu. I didn't care for the beans, nothing special, IMHO. Dessert was a required 14 Layer Caramel Cake and a Pawleys Tollhouse Warm Cookie Pie with vanilla ice cream on each. It was so good, we hurt ourselves. If I had unlimited funds, we would eat here every week. Maybe more often. Our server was Lewis and he was outstanding.

Prepare to have your taste buds transported to culinary heaven, as I recount my unforgettable experience indulging in the most succulent and flavorsome steak I have ever encountered. This dining adventure was truly a five-star affair, leaving me utterly mesmerized by the exceptional quality and impeccable execution of this culinary masterpiece.

From the moment the server presented the steak before me, I knew I was about to embark on an extraordinary gastronomic journey. The steak was a work of art, flawlessly cooked to perfection. The exterior boasted a tantalizing sear, delivering a beautiful caramelized crust that hinted at the remarkable flavors within.

As I cut into the steak, I was met with a symphony of tenderness that melted in my mouth. The juiciness and marbling were exemplary, showcasing the exceptional quality of the meat. Each bite was a revelation, offering an explosion of savory flavors that danced on my palate.

The chef's expertise in seasoning and preparation shone through in every morsel. The balance of herbs and spices elevated the natural flavors of the meat without overpowering its inherent richness. It was a testament to the culinary prowess and attention to detail that went into crafting this delectable masterpiece.

Accompanying the steak were an array of complementary side dishes that further elevated the overall dining experience. The chef's commitment to using only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients was evident in each carefully crafted accompaniment. From the creamy mashed potatoes to the perfectly roasted seasonal vegetables, every element of the meal was executed flawlessly, enhancing the already remarkable star of the show—the steak itself.

The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant and sophisticated, providing the perfect setting to savor such a remarkable dish. The staff exuded professionalism, displaying a genuine passion for their craft and ensuring every aspect of the dining experience was attended to with meticulous care.

In conclusion, my encounter with this extraordinary steak was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I took my first bite to the lingering flavors that stayed with me long after the meal ended, every element of this dining experience exceeded my expectations. If you are a true connoisseur of fine dining and seek a transcendent steak experience, this is the place to indulge your senses. Prepare to be captivated by the harmonious blend of flavors, the exceptional quality of the meat, and the sheer artistry that goes into creating this culinary gem. It is, without a doubt, a five-star delight that will leave an indelible mark on your...

A Culinary Fairytale at Frank’s Outback – Where Magic Meets the Menu

Stop everything you’re doing—drop the fork, cancel your reservations elsewhere, and RUN (don’t walk) to Frank’s Outback in Pawleys Island. This wasn’t just a dinner… this was a transcendental experience wrapped in oak trees, kissed by candlelight, and blessed by the flavor gods themselves.

Let’s talk about Frank—our server, our guide, our spirit animal for the evening. Charming, knowledgeable, and smoother than a well-aged bourbon, Frank turned every course into a story and every sip of wine into a celebration. If service was an Olympic sport, Frank’s taking gold and high-fiving Gordon Ramsay on the way to the podium.

Now the food. THE FOOD. We started with the tuna nachos and fried okra, which arrived like edible artwork. The tuna nachos were a divine fusion of crisp, spice, and umami that made us both do a double-take and say, “Is this even legal?” The fried okra? Let’s just say if your grandma’s okra and Michelin stars had a baby, this would be it.

For the entrées, we surrendered ourselves to the sea bass and the pork chop, and I swear angels sang. The sea bass was light, flaky perfection with layers of flavor that had us checking under the table for a hidden chef from heaven. The pork chop? Juicy, rich, and so tender it practically made us emotional.

A bottle of wine later, we were floating—and somehow the bill came to just around $130 for two. For this kind of quality? A steal. An absolute steal. I would've paid more just for the ambiance alone. Dining outside beneath twinkling lights, surrounded by trees and laughter—it was like being whisked away to a secret garden reserved for the chosen few.

And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better… they brought out the 14-layer caramel cake. I won’t lie to you—we cried. Happy tears. It’s not just “to die for.” It’s the cake you’ll see in your dreams, the dessert you’ll measure all others against for the rest of your life. This cake deserves its own monument.

Final verdict: 47 out of 10. Frank’s Outback isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a love letter to good food, great people, and unforgettable evenings. We’ll be talking about this meal for years. Go. Immediately....
